Always a treat to have your hair cut by James. He tries to give you the optimal style depending on the shape of your head. Enjoyed my experience very much

James has been cutting my hair for the best part of 3+ years. Not only does he provide a great personalised men's hair cutting experience, from an awesome head massage (especially after a long day at work!), hot face towel and great conversations, but a cutting style that is quality, allowing my hair to still hold very well and be styled nicely even after 5-6 weeks between cuts! Definitely recommend for anyone needing a top quality haircut in the Collingwood area!

James has been cutting and styling my hair for the past 2.5+ years. I have followed him from various salons and very excited he has established himself in his own space. I couldn’t recommend him enough; his service and professionalism as well as an excellent cutter and stylist.

Have been booking in with James for the past 4 odd years at various salons, and the White Room is the quintessentially James Roberts experience. A cut that's always great even when I didn't know what I wanted (he can always get a style out of me no matter how unsure my responses are), a conversation that makes the time race by, a great and eclectic range of music and a 1:1 experience in a really lovely setting. James is never on an off day and clearly loves what he does, and it makes a haircut (which at other places can be an awkward or boring experience) legitimately enjoyable.I'd definitely recommend booking in at the White Room for a great cut and a tailored experience.

An experience. First of all and most importantly the haircut is always on point, the time and care taken is obvious in the end product. I often get people out and about commenting on the quality of the fade.The intimate studio which is entered through a back street in Collingwood provides a cool atmosphere. James is also a great guy to spend an hour chatting to about anything. I wouldn’t get my haircut anywhere else.

I cannot speak highly enough of James. Absolute professional who continues to take it up a level reach and every time. I’ve followed James to four locations and I’m wrapped he’s created his own space at The White Room in 2019. In addition to his cutting skills, he’s an absolute gentleman. Great taste in books, film, and fashion. I look forward to my appointment every 3 weeks for the conversation as much as the trim. As Molly would say “Do yourself a favour and go see James at The White Room”.

Personalised service with attention to detail like no other Hairdresser I've been to. James takes the time to discuss my ideas and concerns with my hair every time. I am always complimented for my cut, in particular my fade! I could not recommend James more and have sent several mates his way when they want to treat themselves.
