Mercato Fresh Plus Liquor

Fruit & vegetables reasonable in price first warning sign. Just be aware of what you buy had to throw what looked like good fruit was actually all rotten inside. This was not a one off in the batch the whole bag had to be thrown out. Fruit and veg dont last more than 2 days. Dont think i will come back again. Buyer be aware.

To whom this may concern, I’m writing this in for your store ‘ IGA mercato ‘ I have been going to the deli for years and the staff are so friendly and always go out of their way to make sure my cold meats are sliced the way I want it. The last week in the mornings there is a sign, saying deli open from 9-5pm. How ridiculous is that because the store is operating from 7am-7pm. I’ve come back at 9am each morning to find the Deli staff member on her own dealing with at least six customers more waiting to be served. She was doing such a good job, trying to do the best she could on her own, I was very surprised as I’ve never seen this before ANYWHERE! To top it off all the prices of cold meats have jumped up $10 to $20 per kilo, I understand the increase of groceries going up, but that is so ridiculous and unheard of. I will never go back there again! So disappointing that I need to shop elsewhere now as the staff at that deli are wonderful, always friendly and keep every customer happy. Before leaving I asked a staff member that was walking around if I could speak to a manager or the owner about my concerns and either were available or to then find out either we’re in the store. I find that so unhelpful and way out of line to the staff that were on the floor.I’ve tried calling the store to discuss my concerns and issues to be told manager or owner still aren’t around nor available. To make it even worse I haven’t been able to find an email for that IGA and cannot message their Facebook page either.I’m actually shattered as I used to love that place and always recommended to all my family and friends, which I will no longer be doing.I hope something can get done out of this.

Good shop ti get European groceries

They sold customers a discount card for $10 that will take 10% ‘everytime you come here’ only to find out that it is valid for only one month. Manager wouldn’t come out and speak to a few unhappy customers and asked for our numbers and names and will call back. Daytime scam and robbery amd should not get away with this behaviour.

This store was one of my favorites and as I like to to support local business I was there several times a week doing my shopping in particular the deli and butcher. As per previous comment by another disappointed customer, after been told about the $10 discount card by several staff and pushing for me to get one, I finally gave in and purchased one as the prices in the store increased significantly. Not once did any of the staff that were promoting it or the cashier that I purchased it from disclose that it was only valid for a month which is definitely false advertising. When I went to use it a couple of weeks ago, I was told that it had expired and I was not the only customer that was not aware that it was only valid for a month. I was very disappointed and angry but did not request to speak to management as I know they are useless and would've used some excuse blaming the customers for misunderstanding and not taking ownership. This experience was definitely the final straw as over the last few months (and I know there has been a change of management and staff) the quality of the the fruit and vegetables has become very poor, the deli is not open the same hours as the store which is inconvenient for people working and wanting to shop before and after work, the shelves in particular the cheeses are often empty which when I questioned it I was told it was due to shortages of staff, the man the front yelling cheap

I used to go few times a week loved it but the last month or so not so good it's becoming like preston market a bloke yelling and screaming next to you cheap cheap we can see that deli prices have gone up nearly 60 percent thickend cream is 8 dollars in wool worths it's 4 dollars fruit quality gone down hill I don't know if new owners but I hardly go there now found a great place in reservoir one way fresh deli great prices

You are looking for fresh fruits and vegetables then IGA is the place for you .. oh you need some meat IGA their but you should look and smell the meat sometimes its not so good I found thatYou can get some good cheese as well soo you can visit IGA if it is near by you

The deli advertises that they are operate from 9am-5pm.I arrived at 4.30pm and wanted 2 large pieces of cheese grated - approx $100They refused to grate the cheese as they were cleaning and requested I come back tomorrow. I travelled over half an hour to get there to purchase and when I told the young girl at the register she shrugged her shoulders and walked off.NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER STEP FOOT INTO THIS STORE…
