Ray Pereira African Drumming
I have drummed with Ray now for 6 to 7 years but have wanted to complement the drumming with dancing so I joined the dance group two years ago and have enjoyed every class. The classes are taught by a master dancer from Ghana who clearly breaks down the moves for easy learning. I have tried other dance classes but I find that Rays dance classes are consistent and fun! High energy traditional dances are learnt, which are energetic and contagious. Lots of fun....and highly recommended.

Ray Pereira African Drumming
I am now into my fourth year of African dance classes. It is a privilege to be taught by a Master dancer from Ghana who is skilled at teaching students with a broad range of dancing backgrounds. Not only are the classes fun but I have gained insights into the cultural aspects of the dances.I don’t have a background in dance so I get a great sense of enjoyment and satisfaction from the fact that I am dancing as part of an ensemble. Performing at Ray Pereira’s Drumming School concerts is especially enjoyable.

Ray Pereira African Drumming
Ray is fantastic! A phenomenal percussionist, he teaches the most delicious rhythms and breaks them down in such a way that they're easy to pick up. He's a cool guy – funny, encouraging – and is really attentive to the technique of each individual. I've learned so much from him already and it's only been a couple of months. Highly recommended teacher, I feel very lucky to be learning with him.
