Called Michael about a gas problem I was having. He was so helpful gave me the part I needed. He had a second hand one sitting on the shelf and said come and grab it. I asked how much and he said it's yours. Would recommend this company to anyone. Great bunch of blokes

Another shout out to MSC and Michael. I have been going to MSC since I moved to Canberra and have found them to be unparalleled in their honest and fair-priced services. Upon the first service they advised that as a fairly infrequent driver it was unnecessary for the car to be serviced so often and could half the number of visits, already providing wonderful savings.However they have really gone above and beyond again recently. I had just had my tyres replaced at another provider and was told I would need my rear brakes replaced within a month at quite a hefty sum. I knew MSC would provide a fair price so immediately rang them up for a quote to compare. Not only was their quote 25% cheaper but they also offered to check my brakes for me that afternoon. When I arrived Michael was already promptly waiting with a torch to inspect my vehicle! They advised the replacement could wait until the next service (a few months off) which luckily allowed me to keep some money just in time for Christmas.

My Dad went to Mitchell Service Centre and so I did as well when I got my first car. I moved away for a bit and bought a new car. When I came back, I took it straight to them for a rego check and for every service until I sold my car. They are a hidden gem! Great prices and servicing. I would definitely recommend for anyone worried about getting ripped off. These guys will take care of you.

I took my car for a service last week (2013 Subaru Outback). Unfortunately, during the oil change, the cap was not put back on which led to oil in the bay. This was an unfortunate blot on an otherwise exceptional service.I noticed the issue Sunday and called first thing Monday. Michael, the loveliest gentleman was super contrite and so apologetic. He sent an apprentice (Jonathan) who was also very apologetic. They replaced my oil cap, took my car back to Mitchell, cleaned the oil (including on my brakes) and brought my car back all within 90 minutes.Mistakes happen to the best of us, I am just grateful for their responsiveness. I will bring my car back for its next service for sure, and I will tell others of my positive experience too.Thank you Michael and Jonathan!

TLDR:Would not recommend bringing your car here for repairs. Failed to notice faulty rear drum break on two separate occasions resulting in the failure of that breakMy car has been to Mitchell Service centre twice in the last two months. First was for a service and inspection which everything passed on and all they did was change oil and brake fluid - fair enough.Only two weeks later I noticed one of my rear drum breaks was getting stuck on while driving regardless of weather conditions. I didn't have the time to fix it myself so i took into these guys to fix it up. They couldn't identify anything wrong and apparently couldn't replicate the noise but assured me that they had re-adjusted the rear brakes just in case.Literally 5 mins after leaving the garage and driving at 50kmh 80kmh and 90kmh the same thing happened again with the dodgey break seizing periodically at each speed. Now, unable to afford to buy parts to do the repairs myself i decided to just drive nice and easy till payday at the end of the week.Each day the problem was progressively worse until the break seized completely and almost locked up the rear wheel coming to a stop at a set of traffic light.Two separate times they missed this issue and my car was unable to drive for a week while I ordered parts in to do repairs. Sure enough the springs in the old drum break didn't have enough strength to disengage the break fully anymore.This business can't be trusted to do the job properly, doesn't listen to customers and treats you like you are dumb when you raise a concern about your car that they don't believe is an issue.

My partner took her car here for a service. When she got her car back there was an issue with the service that required their action: on follow up they were very responsive, apologetic and really did the right thing by us/her. Based on our experience we will be going back. Nobody’s perfect, we all make mistakes: it’s how we respond that shows who we are and this company is great!
