Vazey Concrete Contractors

Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Done the worse job at our property after spending a lot of money. Luke refused to refund or come back and fix the job.Stay clear unless you want to get burnt like me.

We are very disappointed by both the outcome and how we were treated by Vazey concrete.We engaged Vazey (Edgecrete) last year and our pour was scheduled for September. Unfortunately the concrete supplied was “off”, and the whole job had to be ripped up and redone. While Vazey were upset at first, they left us to deal with the concrete company and to fight to have the concrete removed. Lisa did not help with this extremely stressful process in any way. During the removal there was damage to our newly (perfectly) renovated/re-tiled pool. After the removal of the concrete we were left with metal filings throughout the pool which stuck to the tiles and rusted (renovation company can confirm this and I have before and after photos). This was absolutely soul destroying.Vazey did the second pour, however this time the form work was not layed correctly and our slab is uneven. While Luke attempted to correct this, it is very noticeable.We re-engaged the pool renovators and have had the tiles redone (and grouted). This was a very costly exercise and we were left to pay for this damage. Not to mention numerous other expenses which can be verified.To add insult to injury Lisa (Whittaker - she reviews her own company on Google) has constantly denied any fault. We have also received a number of insulting emails which refute our claims and suggest we are making up lies!!?) They have accepted a payout from the concrete company for their extra costs due to the poor quality concrete supplied (which I pleaded with the concrete company for so they would finish the job), however they have never thanked me for this or offered any compensation.We have a good relationship with contractors (same plumber for 15 years, the same electrician for 10 years).We would not recommend Vazey concrete. It is unfortunate as I strongly believe that you don’t judge someone by their success, but rather how they deal with their mistakes. I could be writing a very different review if they took responsibility for their work.Melissa

Edgecrete damaged concrete and pavers around our home during the excavation process. They damaged boarder fencing when they laid the concrete & the concrete cracked within a few days of being laid. They laid the wrong colour tile & skimmer box for our pool. The days they worked they continually left rubbish (coffee cups, wrappers) around our home. After the contract was signed it became very difficult to get a hold of Luke & he would rarely return phone calls. After working on our pool for over 6 months it is still not complete.When we complained Luke become aggressive & blamed the sub contractors he used for the job, neglecting any responsibility he has as the builder of the pool. Luke and Lisa are now ignoring our emails & phone calls. We are now contemplating taking civil action against them.There is plenty of bad reviews online about these guys, including them stealing photos of other companies work & claiming it to be there own. Make sure you do your research before hiring them I wish we had.

Vazey Concrete will charge you professional prices for an amateur job. We were left with sand pockets caused by deep footprints and trowel marks in the concrete, all basic errors we are told. The site was left very messy with concrete splashes up all the walls and fences. All these areas now need to be cleaned and repainted. An access area around our veggie patch is constantly full of water due to the fall being in the wrong direction. Their suggested solution was that they would remove the concrete and we could revert back to earth. Having just paid them thousands of dollars, we declined their offer. They have not offered to rectify or compensate us for the errors in the concreting, their only comment was That's concreting"We also had a fairly new tarp ripped to pieces and part of a garden wall knocked down by a delivery truck. There was also a very unpleasant disagreement between Vazey Concrete and the polisher which almost came to blows.The whole job was conducted in a very unprofessional manner and was very stressful.WE DO NOT RECOMMEND VAZEY CONCRETE."
