Be warned to take care to check the stone work you have asked for- before you pay them. They managed to stuff up my mum's headstone - wrong date of birth- and we are facing the prospect of a damaged stone to rectify it. This is masonry 101- get the details right before it leaves the shed. The error is so easily avoidable that I wonder if they knew it was wrong before it left the shed- and they thought - stuff it , lets see if the client has a problem with it. Der, you think? Mum was born in December, not February.Watch this space. I will update you soon. If we get satisfaction I will tell you how wonderful they are.*I had to give them one star- as it won't post otherwise. Its actually minus 5 stars at the moment.

A headstone is there forever. And its important to get it right. What lettering lasts longest? What is the cost of the gold lettering? Can we have a photo? What about inbuilt vases? How much detail is too much ? Does the cemetary have special rules and regulations? So many questions, but thankfully Markwell & Swan had the answer for them all. They were patient, helpful and above all, with our input, created a heart breakingly beautiful monument for our dear mother. Their professionalism, attention to detail, courtesy and willingness to help was outstanding. Thankyou
