Subject: Complaint Regarding Hostile Behavior and Poor Customer Service Experience at the Broadmeadows QBD BookstoreI am writing to express my profound disappointment and lodge a formal complaint regarding the hostile behavior my family and I experienced at the Broadmeadows QBD Bookstore. I visited the store today, on the 15th of May, to celebrate my daughter's principles award and purchased three books. The store personnel assured me that if my daughter already owned any of the books, I could replace them with alternative choices.However, upon picking up my daughter from school, she informed me that she already possessed two of the three books. Consequently, we made the effort to drive all the way to the Broadmeadows store, filled with excitement and joy, only for our experience to be marred by extremely unpleasant behavior from both the store personnel and the store manager.The store personnel insisted that I come back another day as the manager was unavailable due to her lunch break, leaving her without access to the system. Although we were willing to wait, the staff member expressed no willingness to disturb her manager and suggested we leave. When I mentioned the inconvenience of having to bring my child along on another day, she rudely retorted that my child and I were not her concern, displaying utter disrespect. This behavior frightened my child, who no longer wanted any additional books.The conduct of your store staff, characterized by selfishness and lack of training, has tarnished what should have been a beautiful celebration for us. I am filled with deep anger and frustration.Your business model seems to lack consideration for your customers and fails to uphold Australian values. How can you dismiss our importance and display such indifference, especially when dealing with children's books?I intend to take this matter further. Firstly, I will raise a formal complaint with the Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV). Additionally, I will leave a detailed review on Google to inform others about my negative experience. Furthermore, I plan to share this incident on the community Facebook page to ensure that your true conduct is revealed. It is essential that all members of the school community become aware of the disrespectful treatment we encountered.I sincerely hope that you take this complaint seriously and address the issues raised. I expect an apology and reassurance that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. It is crucial that your staff be trained to provide courteous and respectful customer service.I trust that you will investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action. I hope that in the future, customers will not have to endure such distressing experiences at your establishment.

I love this bookshop even though l haven't been there for awhile. It has a great selection of books on most subjects including science and astronomy! Their card is really great too and l ended up buying books for a few dollars when l joined up

I was given a gift voucher, if you have any idea what searching for good stories is like, well the little lovely lass who helped me, well she assisted me with her knowledge. I'll be back regularly, she started me on 3 series of stories. I naturally will need all of the following books. I loved it, very good.

We shop here every so often for hard to find books and usually have a good experience however, in this instance, Alexandra seemed frustrated that we had trouble hearing her through the Perspex protective shield and gave us some terrible attitude. I’m hearing impaired and so I asked her to speak up and she just gave me a look! Please train your staff to treat everyone equally with respect.

Nice store, good range of books and they'll order stuff if they don't have it in stocks. There has been a slight change in the feel of the place since the previous manager left - it used to feel like you were meeting old friends every time you walked in as they were so engaged and friendly, but in sure they are just finding their feet again. Will return!

I wandered into the shop not looking for anything in particular and met two beautiful people...one who asked if i needed help and the other the cashier who was such a delight and pleasure to talk to.She was insightful and intelligent and interested in what you said. On the strength of her i will certainly return. For a s.allish shop they had a great range and lots of captivating books. Definitely a 5.

Good selection and nice staff. The only thing stopping it from being 5 stars is that every time I shop there I have to ask to use credits on my gold booklovers card. Every time. Others stores let you know there is a credit and if you want to use it. It's only something little but it's enough to traint my experience

The staff at this store bring this beautiful bookstore down, I was served by Alexandra last week, her customer service was absolutely disgusting, I have never been so disrespected in my life, I asked if there was the book I wanted available in store, Alexandra proceeded to give me a dirty stare and exclaim that I wasted her time. Never coming back here again!!!!

I called the Broadmeadows QBD on 1/2/23 to inquire a book. Someone assisted me and mentioned their doing stock take and will leave the book to pick up next day and she said to come 8.30.I came at 8.30 and now it’s 9.20. Shop still not open.I saw a staff inside near the cashier and tried to approach her. She was very rude. Told me wait outside for few minutes. Very bad customer service. First wrong information given to me and store is not open as per the time on the google website. Wasting my time.
