Nice little walk with a great rock platform to explore ect. You can access the pathway to Winnie Bay from either the Captain Cook lookout at Copacabana or the water tower on Cape Tree Points in Avoca. This is part of the Five Lands Walk. It has an amazing staircase just in the middle of the bush. Please note that treated waste water is discharged 600m to the North of Winnie Bay so swimming and fishing is not advisable, but each to their own.

Nice bush walk from Captain Cook lookout, the beach itself is nothing but rocks, very pretty all the same. Beach is a no swim zone due to another issue...

I guess this was a lovely area before they put the sewage outlet there. The walk down from Copa is the longer way. The other way down is parking by the water tank and walking down. As you walk down from Copa you get wafts of sewage every so often. The view walking down is pretty good, and it took me half an hour. You first walk along a dirt track then there are hundreds of steps and a railing halfway down followed by a concrete path then back to a dirt path. It rather spoils it having all this concrete out in the middle of the bush, I would have preferred if it was left a track.
