Loved our food last night but most of all, loved the service. Not often you get such a good waiter, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Best Italian in Brunswick East.

TLDR: an Italian gem - must visit.Service: Julian was great - Friendly, quick and helpful.Entree: mozeralla - light, fresh and subtle flavours.Pasta: pappardelle duck ragu - for once, I actually finished this dish. I order it almost everytime at an Italian restaurant, and it usually let's me down Usually the duck is too tough or hard, or the pasta is not aldente. But the duck here was consistently soft and tender, and the pasta was perfect.Mains: baked rabbit - the meat was tender (fall off the bone soft), sauce was amazing (sweet, savoury and full of umami notes), crunchy greens and balanced vegies.Sides: roasted potatoes - not as crunchy as I prefer, but flavours were punchy (full of butter and herbs).Beverages: Amaretto sour and the Chianti (red wine: both delicious. The Chianti especially.Value: To be honest, we've paid more and have received much less (in taste, satisfaction, service, serving size) at other places. By no means was it a cheap meal, but very satisfied and happy with the recommendation. A must visit for our next special occasion.

I know there are a lot of restaurants that claim to be Italian. This is one of the few that actually is. The menu is reminiscent of traditional Italian cuisine & culture. The flavours are distinct and the atmosphere is as though I was having dinner at my parents place. The service was also fantastic. I will be back for sure.

Has been to this place recently. A warm welcome by the staff really made a great first impression. We are 4 and started with 4 different entries. Mushroom arancini and Prosciutto wrapped artichokes and prawn cutlets are best. On the main course side, slow cooked baby goat is succulent and tasted great . After parmigiana, vven baked rabbit and duck tasted ok. Ended with Tiramisu which is yummy. Place is little cozy than how it looks in the pictures. However we really liked the ambience, atmosphere and food.

I tried Gnocchi as my main. It would be fair that it has been the best that i have ever tried. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Very friendly staff, ‘homey’ feeling.

A traditional Italian restaurant for a special occasion. We came here without a booking on a Friday night and after a few minutes organisation found a table at the very back of the restaurant. If you want the best seats I recommend to book in advance.The atmosphere is just as it has been since the 1990’s - charming, family oriented, with a a dash of Mediterranean romance. We enjoyed an Aperol spritz cocktail and a glass of Cerasuolo Zaccagnini rosé, and ordered a Caprese Di Bufala (cheese, tomato and basil) entree to share and Spaghetti Misto Mare (seafood marinara) mains. The meals are good value, with well-sized portions. One pasta dish was a little on the oily side, but very tasty, with the pasta cooked the way I like it - just a minute more than al dente. The service was a little slow, but with friendly hosts it is more than acceptable on a Friday night!We gave a 15% gratuity tip as we were pleased with the service.Would recommend for a family meal or a quiet date night.

A beautiful authentic Italian restaurant. Classic dishes made with love. Clearly the best ingredients, good size portions and super reasonably priced. Checkout the huge Zia Teresa mural painting on the outside wall, very cool.
