My daughter learnt flute with Kym for several years going to grade 7. Kym is a truly inspiring teacher. She has the rare ability to be firm and instill discipline which is essential when learning an instrument while also being fun and very very positive! My daughter loved learning with Kym. We would recommend Kym as a teacher for all ages of children. She's fantastic!

Family Strum&Sing is fun way to help your kid/s start out playing guitar and learning together helps establish a good home practice habit. It makes a lot of sense to begin together - especially when you consider how many kids give up instruments in the early days - practicing alone as an absolute beginner isn't always fun! Kym will have you playing some current tunes and great blasts from the past from day 1, keeping both generations keen for the next session! Classes work well online too. We have some really fond music-making memories thanks to Kym and that’s what it’s all about!

Our weekly music class with Kym is the highlight of our week! Kym has a wonderfully, fun and playful nature and a knack for reading the room to keep the class flowing. My kids have been learning with Music Play Habitat for about 2 years now. Most importantly they have had so much fun. They have also really come a long way with their instruments.I have 2 very different kids - one loves the detail and is happy to be challenged so he progresses; the other likes to have fun and is less serious but needs the reassurance to build his confidence. Kym is able to provide a very personalised approach and target her teaching to the individual child. I very much appreciate this about her classes as both walk away felling they are moving forward and are always excited to get to class.

My daughters love Kym's, hands on, dynamic approach to learning to play with music. Real instruments, lots of space to move around or stay in circle depending on how their little bodies feel that day. Groups are small and intimate. Lots of movement involved too, perfect for busy bodies. Parents are encouraged to learn alongside their kids and get involved with the fun. I've learned a lot, and my confidence with mucking about with tempo has definitely benefitted. Thanks Kym!
