This place is great! I’ve had my hair cut at other places but they don’t do it as well as these guys do. Definitely give this place a go!

Been going to Petra to cut & colour my curly hair for over 13 years now. The only hair dresser that knows how to best cut curly hair in Canberra in my honest opinion! Highly recommend.Xx Elizah

I think I just went in on an off day. I had my hair cut and dyed and when washing the dye out the hairdresser got the water with dye in it, into my eye which caused my eyes to puff up, and my mascara also got into the mix.An alcohol wipe was used to remove the dye from my face that had got there when the dye was applied. I take roaccutaine and thus my skin is ridiculously sensitive, dry and has open sores in parts. I would have appreciated being asked first but my head was in the sink and my eyes were stuck closed trying to stop the dye and mascara from irritating them anymore.My scalp was butchered (scrubbed, not massaged. like how you hand wash clothes) , it was really uncomfortable and my hair cut was lop-sided.I was really upset and bolted home straight after, fixed up my hair myself. I contemplated going back to get this fixed but I was pretty well ready to burst into tears, I couldn't bare to go to another hairdresser as I was so embarrassed and upset with myself for not standing up for myself from when the first thing went wrong.Big learning curve here for me.Happy with the colour in the roots of my hair, don't ask about the rest of it.UPDATE: 9/06/16I have recently discovered that PERMANENT dye was used for my hair colour, not SEMI-PERMANENT as discussed the day before my appointment and on the day of my appointment. How do I know this? I have significant regrowth never before seen in my hair as I am naturally blonde and the colour I had put in was a ginger. Using the semi-permanent it has always lightened and faded over time, but never to this extent.I shall now continue to dye my hair myself. Or pop down the road to an appropriately trained, registered and awarded salon.Customer beware.

Great hair cut with Petra. I got the cut I asked for and have just what I wanted.

New to Canberra, finding an excellent Hairdresser was as important to me as finding an excellent GP.After a few false starts, by the 10th month I had found both, and very relieved I was, too! Petra is a really clever stylist and colourist who has managed my thick, greying hair brilliantly. I always enjoy my visits to the salon because, in addition to being sure that I am going to be leaving looking a great deal better than when I entered, I really like Petra’s conversation and I love chatting to her about fashion, fabrics, design and anything else that occurs on the day. We laugh and talk and, in this bizarre Covid time, I find my hairdressing appointment to be a real boost! In addition, I get lots of positive comments about my hairstyle and colour from family and friends! Win!

I'm Canberra for work purposes, and needed a cut and colour. Petra was fantastic, matched my colour perfectly and also did a wonderful blow dry. Highly recommend and will definitely come back !

A lady here cut my three year old's hair into a beautiful pixie cut. She took care and, in my opinion, charged way too little for her time and expertise. Next time I will tip.
