RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort

Not usually one for caravan parks but given it is the only option in Monkey Mia we had to choose RAC. We asked for a more ‘private’ camping spot (which I know is a difficult ask in a caravan park) and they popped us in the only couple of palm trees which was nice. The facilities were very clean and functional. The staff were happy and accomodating. A+ location. Would stay here again happily!

A great little resort with plenty of amenities to offer!We stayed in the Garden room during our stay, and it was comfortable and a nice place overall. However, the highlight of this place is the resort itself! Plenty of space and activities for you to spread out and enjoy. From having 2 different pools, mini golf and even a playground for the kids - I can definitely see how you can spend your entire stay in the resort without needing to leave the place!Great beaches and wildlife around (especially the dolphins and emus!), and plenty of water activities on offer as well!The restaurant was great, had a nice variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a great selection of cocktails and alcohol as well! The Monkey bar also has a great vibe, with some nice selection of food and drinks too!Overall, I highly recommend this place if you are planning to stay in town. Whether you're holidaying with the family, or couples or even driving in on a caravan/trailer - this place is a must stay!

My first impressions were not great. I felt a bit annoyed at being slugged $10 per person per day to enter and do the dolphin experience on top of the high-priced stay in the caravan park. Everything is a bit pricey, and I probably won't come back, but the dolphin experience is definitely worth an overnighter.The park is nice enough, but there is very little shade, and you are on a base of crushed shells. The pools look great and there are some good activities for the kids.The location is really lovely.

Rooms are ok. The housekeeping only starts after 3pm. It's the best place to stay location wise if you want to visit the dolphins. Plus, you will never get bored seeing the resident emus am going about the resort.

A corner of paradise! Very well organised, you can see dolphins a couple of times per day. The beach is fantastic and the Resort is very well equipped with a nice Bar with sea view. Staff is very friendly and can recommend you where to go or what you can see around. Very recommended!

I would give a 10/10 just for the view at the beach here. Being greeted by dolphins, emus and turtles coupled with amazing sunsets and sunrises made our 2 night stay here amazing! We had a garden view room which was comfortable and had everything we needed.The restaurant was a little hit and miss. Portions were decent for the price and most of the meals we had were pretty good, bar a couple that weren't.We wouldn't hesitate to stay if we travelled that way again.

Booked a dorm-room for myself and a group of friends to have a nice night's rest before continuing north. Fairly priced and the view from the beach was great, saw dolphins right by the shore at sunset after sitting there maybe 5 minutes. The receptionist was very helpful and informative.The dorm-room does not include a bathroom, there were communal bathrooms available on each floor down the hall. Hot water wasn't the best but we weren't too fussed. I imagine it'd be fine in a room with an attached bathroom.

We did a very last minute ring up for a camp-site and they were open to take us in at 7:30. The receptionist was super helpful and booked us a tour. The facilities are very impressive. When you have been travelling Western Australian coast you can sometimes feel underwhelmed but this was such a surprise and price wise comparable to everything else we stayed at but at a higher level. The view and beach is beautiful and its a delight to see emus walking around. Obviously the highlight are the dolphins.
