Czeg’s Richmond is one of the most old classy cafe. All the things in the cafe takes you back to the early 90’s period. The atmosphere is lovely, customer service is exceptional. The food is delicious, the chef have got some magic for sure. Lots of street parking. I personally do think menu is a bit overpriced compared to the market but having said that, i am happy to pay a bit extra when the food quality and standards are so good.

It's a great cafe / coffee shop in the historic town of Richmond in the Coal Valley. We enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon tea and coffee followed by a walk down to the 200 year old Richmond Bridge.

On the last leg our our Tassie adventure with our mums, we stopped into Czegs and indulged in their famous Russian Honey Cake. It did not disappoint. It was light and not sickly sweet, perfect with a cup of coffee. Czegs vibe is casual and eclectic and very inviting.

The Russian Honey Cake is awesome. AWE. SOME. Sweet but not cloying. Very refreshing. The scone is very well balanced in taste. The clotted cream is light, the jam is oh-my-goodness. You have to try it yourself. Very glad we stopped in for tea.

Food is ok but extremely poor customer service. The order turned out wrong the waitress kept showing us the paper she wrote, but of course we just told her the order and didn't look at what she was writing. How ridiculous. We were willing to pay half the price to have it changed but she insisted that we have to pay in full. She wasn't even willing to compromise to rectify the mistake.

Great place great food. Service is good but slow. But I'm used to Sydney and this is country Tassie. If your in Richmond and want a tea or breakfast you will not be disappointed

During our family trip to Richmond TAS in April 2023, we stumbled upon a hidden gem called Czeg's Cafe, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we had found a special place.First and foremost, the coffee and breakfast offerings at Czeg's Cafe were absolutely fantastic. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Claire for making our experience at Czeg's Cafe truly unforgettable. She went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable, taking the time to chat with our daughters and make them feel special. It was evident that Claire's hospitable conversations were not just part of her job, but a reflection of her kind and caring nature. Czeg's Cafe is truly blessed to have someone like Claire as part of their team. Her bravery in forging connections and creating a welcoming environment sets an example for others to follow.

Not our first time here. Lovely cafe with good vibes. We tried the savory they taste fine, but the honey cake is extremely delicious! Not too sweet and have a bit with the cream makes it perfect.
