Fantastic service by Cowan Doors. The staff at the office (Stacy and Sam) were both amazing and were able to fit me in on short notice.We had both our roller door serviced and the front gate to our property fixed. The work was done to the highest standard and we are most satisfied with the result.The tech that came out was prompt, professional and courteous and experienced and was able to get the job done to our satisfaction. The whole process is a completely terrible experience.I've called the office ask for a quote and I've mentioned specifically it's a commercial warehouse and it's quite high. Then I've been quoted for 170+125 as per email without mentioning it might require more people and there is an extra cost for a scissor lift. I have also told the girl it needs to be fixed today since I have to secure the warehouse.The technician showed up hours later and started having lunch when arrived, after had a look at the door, I've been told need an extra technician to finish the job and I have to pay for an extra 180/per hour or something(can't remember the exact figure), and the technician wasn't sure it can be done on the same day. At this stage, I still think it's ok since I have to get the door fixed and it was about 2 pm already. I have called the office 10 am in the morning and explain to her it needs to be fixed the same day and been told definitely so!Then after another 30 mins, I've got another phone call asking for an extra 480 or something for the lift(can't remember the exact figure), so that's more than $1000 per hour, no offense but I think it's totally a rip off, especially when I have called and described the issue before and mention it needs to be fixed at the same day.I have called 2 other companies at the same day about 3.30pm, two company give me very similar prices to fix it which is about $350 and I've been told that scissor lift is standard and all included in the quotation for commercial door repair and the job can be done by one technician easily.One company came over in 30 mins and fixed it right away.Therefore, I don't think your price is fair and the price has been jacked up not once but 2 times after hours delay, and between this 2, there is nothing changed or any investigating done by the technician, the only thing he did after arriving is having lunch and have a look at the door less than 1 min.Shockingly, after about 5 weeks, I receved a invoice today and asking me to pay $324.5.

ordered a roller door remote.required 1x call out fee to check and set. remote takes 1 week plus to arrive.total cost $260.end product 3rd party remote seperate to roller door brand.called up to order a second one same cost.got a second quote from another source.Uses the same brand of remote as the roller door.The technician came with remote, set it up on the spot. took about ... 10minstotal cost $100.Same brand remote, better range and zero waiting time.definately will NEVER go back to Cowan doors for further quotes or work.Do NOT recommend

Avoid at all costs. This company charged and quoted $6000 for what 3 other companies quoted and charged $100 for.

Very happy with our experience with these guys. They came out same day that we called them to repair a roller door. Door was fixed reasonably quickly, now works better than before we damaged it. Price was very reasonable too.
