Harvey's Towing Service

I recently had an unfortunate accident and had to rely on the services of this towing company. While the initial response was prompt and the tow truck driver seemed helpful, I am disappointed with the misleading communication and unexpected charges that followed.On the day of the accident, the tow truck driver suggested towing my car to the holding yard instead of my home. I specifically asked if my car could be towed back home without incurring any additional fees. The driver assured me that as long as I paid the quoted amount of $391 within 3 business days, my car could be towed home immediately after that, with no extra charges.However, when my partner and I contacted the company/holding yard the following business day to arrange for our car to be towed back home, we were first informed that we needed to pay an additional amount of around $100 for the towing service. We reluctantly provided our payment details over the phone, only to later discover that nearly $700 had been deducted from our account. After making another phone call, we were informed that the actual towing fee was around $300.Upon reading other reviews, it became apparent that similar incidents had occurred to other customers. It is concerning that such significant miscommunications persist within the company, despite the respectful and friendly demeanor of the employees handling phone calls. While the employees explained that this was their pricing and policy, it left me feeling blindsided and deceived.I am disappointed with the lack of clarity and consistency in the information provided by the company. It is unacceptable for customers to be led to believe that there will be no extra charges, only to discover later that the actual fees are significantly higher. This sort of miscommunication should not happen, and it is angering to see that it has happened to other people as well.

Had my car towed by Craig 33 the other night and his service was great. He was reliable and professional and he gave me updates on how far away he was which was reassuring.

Harvey's Towing think it’s acceptable to park their truck in a no parking zone, on dedicated pedestrian access, not even leaving enough room for a pedestrian with a pram to walk through.Imagine living with a disability and not being able to safely access the chemist because of this driver’s sense of entitlement.And just to be clear, there was no sign of the driver or any indication that the truck was there to tow another vehicle.The driver returned after 20 minutes (from when I first saw the truck) and was still sitting in the truck 10 minutes later. There was certainly no urgency to move his truck from blocking safe access to health services.

Craig from Harvey's Towing helped us out of a very tight spot, late at night in bad weather. He was open, honest and up front about everything so we knew what to expect from the beginning. Highly professional and was able to assist in recovering our car with minimal additional damage. Thank you!

3 months... yup 3 months since Harvey's Towing damaged my classic car (which happens to also be my business). I've ben fobbed off to insurance brokers who now no longer act on Harvey's Towing's claims. HMIA Insurance (Harvey's Insurance company) sent an assessor to check the damage, so all the paperwork is in place. Instead I've been advised to get the work done and keep all receipts.... I wouldn't use Havey's Towing again. I suggest to walk... if not run away from this business. Wayne Davis - The Chevy Bar.
