Excellent seafood and gluten free options! They even have a separate gluten free fryer.Best fish, chips and calamari I’ve had in ages, we’ll definitely be back.

We enjoy this place so much that we often find ourselves coming back for more. Their beer-battered fish are a definite favourite, whether we choose to dine in or get it as take-away. The salads are delightful, and the fisherman's baskets offer great value.

They cannot even get any of the basics right:• No fish options without meals on the menu.• Extremely slow service when we dined in on a Sunday afternoon and only 3-4 people there.• As expected, Hoki (from New Zealand) can’t be fresh, but other fish isn’t fresh either.• Had to ask twice for utensils to eat with. Perhaps we were expected to eat coleslaw and fish and chips with our fingers?• No sauces provided or offered, and none to be seen onsite.• Chips were not salted and no salt given.• Poor variety of drinks and no straws.• Expensive.If this is the best fish and chips in east Brisbane it shows the very poor standards locals are used to and alarming that they don’t know any better.

We enjoyed a crunchy, fresh Sunday lunch at Hawthorne Seafood Markets which did not disappoint! After seeing that they make gluten free, coeliac friendly fish and chips, we had to go and try! Although I’m not gluten free, my partner and I shared an entirely gluten free spread which was cooked to perfection! You would have no idea it was gluten free and I would even say it could be better than the normal batter as it’s lighter! The grilled fish was my favourite, chips serving was so generous we weren’t able to finish them all and the oysters were so fresh! Not to mention there was 20% off fresh seafood! Will be back for sure!

Fish was incredible, super fresh and very accomodating to dietary requirements. Only problem is price and the salt and pepper calamari was so dry and overcooked, the calamari was cut way too thin.Overall I will definitely order from here again.

We shared the fisherman's basket and it was very good. So many chips and those crunchy outside and soft in the middle chips. Good variety in the contents with cod, calamari, special fish bites and prawns. Reasonable price of $26. You will wait a while as it's all freshly cooked. Decent seating too.

Great display of fresh seafood. I had grilled fish and a Greek salad for lunch and it was delicious and well seasoned. I’ll come back and order a wine while I wait for my order next time!

Very big portion of chips. The fish was very fresh and flaky. Calamari rings, scallops and prawns were beautifully fried as well. Just wished they had more accessible vinegar and salt. They only had one on the corner inside pick up area. But overall was very tasty.
