Woodworks Museum
Looked great but was closed on Saturday despite the large sign at the entrance stating otherwise.Inspected the gardens and Australia's largest bandsaw (!), which was impressive.

Woodworks Museum
Great place to learn about the history of wood cutting in the area and re-establishment of forests. This is a great setup with great explanations and an incredible display of tools used in forestry from long ago to the present day. Everything from hand implements to motorised portable saws and logging to an incredible range of cross-cut and chainsaws. Friday is a great day to drop in because the operate the steam sawmill on Fridays. Great displays of wood, logs and how they were transported.Terrific for a school excursion.

A surprising intresting history of the timber industry , the explained methods of tree farming mixed in with cattle farming . Definitely need a couple of hours to take it all in.

Woodworks Museum
We visited this museum on its 35 anniversary and sadly arriving at 3pm we were the first visitors for the day. A shame as the museum is worth an hour's visit and easily accessible off the Bruce Highway just out of town. The staff are friendly and the free guide book is excellent. Exhibits are well maintained and interesting. You won't leave thinking it's one of the best museums you've ever visited but you should find something of interest.
