Fantastic spot with great views in Tibooburra! We enjoyed our stay here, short walk to the pubs and good facilities - best camping spot in town!

Tibooburra is a remote scarcely populated town. Parts look like they belong in Mad Max. The people make this town. Mavis and her crew at Granites/TJs Roadhouse could not be more welcoming. Sure the accommodation needs a upgrade and could have been a bit cleaner, but it's not a 5 star town so you accept that. If you want a remote outback experience with some really lovely people then visit Tibooburra.

Nice atmosphere, handy to town. Just basic. Showers small and outdated, but clean and functional. Camp kitchen is just a bbq and a sink with cold water but it’s a nice spot to sit and have lunch. Someone needs to chop the head off the rooster next door

Came out here and caught in torrential rain ( 100mm in 20 minutes) between the Wompah Gate and Tibooburra at the same moment P.M. Tony Abbott was in outback NSW announcing drought relief for the stricken farmers.I left huge clumps of mud were ever I parked my poor old Rodeo and camper trailer. I was stuck in this town for 3 days until the roads reopened. My intent was to head to Cameron's Corner but that road was expected to remain closed for week/months. So I headed to Broken Hill to get to my destination in Adelaide.I helped the maintenance guy shovel up my mud deposits left at the Motel and we almost filled his 6x4 trailer with it all.I had been sleeping in my camper for past few nights so to get into a soft bed was great.I found everyone in town to be very friendly and helpful as I required a few parts to repair the damage I had occurred during the drive into town through the flood waters and atrocious mud banks etc.Thank you all.

My second visit to Tibooburra & staying at Granites Caravan Park. There is a very special feeling about arriving in Tibooburra, this is certainly true Australian Outback & that comes with some of the friendliest people in the world. I have travelled to most continents, met wonderful people but none compare to the locals of Tibooburra. The caravan park is well laid out, typically Aussie Outback with excellent amenities. Don't expect modern but you can expect honest down to earth people all willing to have a chat, give advice about the area & offer a helping hand if needed. Excellent meals at both pubs & great breakfast at the cafe/General store. Beware if you drop into the road house don't expect to get away quickly as these very friendly people are most likely to engage you in conversation. Looking forward to heading back to Tibooburra in 2021. Thank you to everyone there.

Good little park, stayed 3 nights. Couldn’t book ahead, however they managed to find us two powered sites next to one another. Beautiful hill of huge boulders which the kids (and me) loved to climb all over. The view from the top was fantastic and we would have stayed longer climbing if the wind wasn’t so icy! Very friendly “Camp Commandant”, Sophia, was a great help and food for a chat any time! Facilities clean and good hot showers. We also had a fire, but just had to take our ashes. Very convenient walk to town and across the road to the Road House. Beware the goats from the other end of town wander through the park. Had a good dinner at the Tibooburra Hotel for pizza night, Sunday night. Would stay there again.

Caravan is poorly run, the owners are at the roadhouse and they can't even run that properly, running of the Caravan park was left to Sofia who is just a visitor to the park. You can't book a power site. It is the worst caravan park we have stayed in as far as management is concerned. Won't come back until there is new management.
