Absolutely terrabad. Got thinly sliced salami here, they didn't peel the packaging skin off before slicing it... Ate half a sandwich then noticed it had stringy bits of packaging all over it. Then proceeded to throw up everything I ate.I wouldn't even feed a dog with products from here.

Best place to get cured meats in Newcastle. Highly recommend.

i have tourettes and high needs.i come into this shop semi regularly (1-3 times a month) and buy 1-2 cheeses and some cured meat with one of my ndis workers assisting me.every time i walk in here both my worker and i feel uncomfortable with the lack of friendly customer service im used to seeing with other patrons of this deli. they greet any other guest with a warm welcome and smile, telling knowledge and suggesting items, while i receive distasteful and ugly looks. and am rushed out of the place.is it because i dress alternatively? i have arm tics? i will never know.the lady with short red hair is quite condescending to me and side eyes my carer and i like we are thieves when all we are doing is looking at the different products around the shop. every time i walk into this shop is to buy cheese. that is my only intentionthe lady with light brown/blonde hair is much kinder to me and we had a small but pleasant chat. despite my auditory processing disability and stuttering she was quite kind and welcoming.i wouldn’t have commented on this but it happens almost every time we are in this shop, especially when the short red haired lady is serving me, which is 90% of the time i go there.it is truly a shame a delicatessen with such unique and amazing products has awful and borderline discriminatory service to young persons, especially with a disability.

It’s hard to know where to look first when you push open the barn door to Pork Ewe Deli. Located in Mayfield, it’s a mother-daughter affair featuring a well-curated selection of cheese, charcuterie and artisan products. Keep your eyes peeled for historic wine bottles plucked from Len Evans masterclasses decorating the upper shelves - both of the proprietors have spent time at Brokenwood Wines and have plenty of food and wine knowledge to impart to any consumers lucky enough to wander in through the door.

Great in every way and no easy task to run a business of this calibre in the current climate. I told the owner what sort of stuff I was into and she promptly provided an excellent selection of meats and cheeses. No samples required and very rewarding when you trust your local professionals.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. You can tell the owner really has passion for the business, and the lady who served us (Jill, I hope I spelt that right) was not only very knowledgeable, but patient and bubbly.The cheese and meat? Delicious. Absolutely delicious. The quince paste was delicious too.(Yes we have already sampled... Don't judge us!)We will be back, for sure.

Such lovely and friendly service and even better deli snacks. The staff were very helpful when suggesting types of cheeses and meats to try based on allergies and food preferences.

Amazing staff, the range is TOP quality. The cheese, the meats even the crackers and breads are all so amazing. The staff are so helpful and if you have no idea what you want, they will do their best to guide you (and your taste buds) into a satisfying purchase. When i first went I did think the prices were a bit exxy (they have to import a lot of stock) but after my first bite... the price tags really did become redundant... such amazing food.

Online ordering was a breeze and the staff were exceptionally helpful catering to our dietary requirements. The pack Pork Ewe put together made this lockdown birthday lunch really special and celebratory. It is wonderful to be able to support such an incredible local business, you guys truly offer something unique in Newie and I'm glad you're within my LGA!

Rachael has been so helpful every time we’ve visited. My partner got her advice selecting some cheeses for me for a birthday lunch. I can’t eat cows milk cheese and she managed to put together an amazing recommendation of sheep & goats cheeses, meats and pastes that were incredible. We ended up returning today to restock what we’d already eaten and she even remembered us and said happy birthday!
