The Bevelled Edge

I took two entomology specimens in to have the frames fixed on Feb 15. The only issue with the frames was my Atlas moth had come out and needed to be retaped the other specimen had a broken glass frame.I will only be talking about the Atlas moth, I brought it in fully mounted and in perfect condition, I take photos and document this as it's part of my daily job. I received my moth back today (May 3 2023) with half of it's wing torn off, this was not due to pests, fire or anything else but someone tearing it off. The missing wing was nowhere to be found, I was distraught as this is a rare and expensive specimen that was ruined with no explanation. They let me walk out of the shop without saying anything to me or making sure it was fine. I admit I should have looked before I left the store.When i went back in to be refunded I was offered no apology or explanation even after i showed the evidence of the condition before I dropped it off almost two months ago. Instead he denied it and said it was possible it happened here but he didn't do it and no one else has access to it. He was dismissive of the entire situation.He told me to contact VCAT about the situation.I wouldn't come here again or even suggest this business due to the lack of accountabiliy

Yep. They’re good. Bought a picture OS that I like but the frame was cheap stuff. Stapled string in the back. Ray reframed it properly. It’s worth doing properly and Ray’s an expert.

Really helpful. And within my customer’s price range. I just do blank walls - Bevilled Edge makes my reno’s look like beautiful homes with gorgeous original artwork and mirrors - framed perfectly for the decor. It’s the finishing touches that make the difference to the ambience of a home. My customers are happy with my work - but they all say they are delighted with the whole look of the finished Reno and that’s really a tribute to Ray and Maree’s skill. Thanks guys.

I had a drawing framed here & it came back with pencilled scribbles across the top. When I pointed this out, they agreed to fix it (at first they tried to deny they'd put it there). They removed the scribbles but then the picture came back with a huge piece of fluff beneath the glass! didn't bother returning after that. Did wonder if the framer had vision issues.

So helpful and obliging...honest people trying to do everything they can to help you...highly recommend.
