Need to be there early or you will line up

Bunch of uneducated crew operating the gates on the ferry as we were leaving Bruny.I could hear over their radio another male on the bridge mimicking Chinese accents as the rest stood around laughing.We are not even Chinese! Just because we look Asian.No need to confront or take offence.I just pity how small their minds are to be living in their small inbred world.I hope management disciplines them as it is not my role to teach them how to behave as individuals representing an organisation.Nor does their bigotry reflect Tassie.

We bought the tickets online. Seamless process. Quick 15 minute ride. You can choose to stay in your car or use the passenger seating upstairs. Very comfortable.

Very efficient service. They’ve just added a third ferry so even though there was a bit of a line, it didn’t take too long to get onboard. Quick payment, grabbed a coffee from the cafe and straight on. Even quicker on the way back. Great stuff.

Definitely essential to plan ahead when taking the Ferry, because it’s going to be very crowded in the morning.My rule of thumb If it helps: there are approximately 20-24 vehicles heading off every 15 minutes. If you’re starting to queue at the cross-intersection, that would be an hour pf waiting. If you’re queuing right after turning, that is probably a 1.5 hour wait.

Super efficient service & highly recommended from my previous trip.A one way ticket would have been ideal !!

1.5 hour wait either end to board. If they communicated this while directing traffic we would have done a day trip somewhere else in the area. It's a nice island but that's about as long as we spent in transit to get to Tasmania and back in the first place!

Easy access, no need to buy tickets in advance. Well organised and staff will give you ditections to get on board. 15 mins single trip to Bruny Island.

It was literally one and a half hour wait of moving a couple of metres every couple of minutes. It would make a lot of sense to have a booking system or a more sophisticated queuing system for busy periods. While no one can expect magic, surely there is more money to be made having people park while waiting and be moved in 20 minute blocks or arrive early for their booking and get a coffee etc etc. Even if the cafe had people taking orders from the queue it would have passed the time more comfortably. I would have liked to see Kettering but given it’s already taken this long out of my hols sitting in traffic that ain’t gonna happen.
