Really delicious, creamy Oysters! Good price and can get them opened or closed, we went back again for more the next day!

Terrible quality of Oyster, and even more horrible customer service. It seems like they don’t even want to sale us the oysters, not willing to show us the oysters before we purchase. No complimentary lemon slices. Cash only tax cheating shop.

McKay's Oyster at PambulaVisited on 11/3/2021The wholesale oyster place we meant to buy from was closed due to some possible contamination. We discovered this place by chance. It is like a big metal barn, with ample parking. It does not have very high tech machines, but plenty of plastic buckets. It costs $5 more per dozen to open the oyster. I prefer to do it myself, not so much about the money, but for peace of mind. The large ones are more meaty, plump and buttery. For the same price, the oysters from Woolworths are much smaller.

No frills, but looks can be deceiving, ate a dozen outside. They only take cash. Delicious oysters.

The place was rundown and the service was nonexistent, but the oysters were reasonably priced and decent.

Save yourself the time and bypass this place for others in the region which are much nicer, hospitable and with fresh/ tastier oysters. We were met with two unhappy gentleman behind the counter, only accepting cash and some casual racism felt as we left… we still ate the oysters of course (they were ok but not the most fresh).

It may look like a plain shed from the outside, but the proof is in the pudding — we got a dozen of the best oysters we’ve had, shucked, and shared them just outside on the grass. Delicious and highly recommended — but bring your own lemon!

I would not recommend at all! Distasteful to say the least! We stopped by to buy some oysters and were met by two rude men who’s response to ‘what’s the different between medium and large’ was ‘can’t you see it, it’s right there’. Sorry it was an honest question and a simple polite answer would have sufficed. Safe to say I’ll be enjoying oysters elsewhere were my appetite permits.

Yes, place looks dodgy. Yes, owners/workers weren’t the friendliest. But oysters were fresh and tasty. Price wise, not bad.
