After twenty years with Summerland I'm moving on. Behind the garish new colour scheme is a CU that cares a lot less about their customers than they once did. Staff can be rude and unhelpful, and unlike bigger banks Summerland really struggles to understand small business. Rates are not competitive with larger institutions, and where as a Bank will take a good look at your history with them, the CU won't bother taking a couple of decades into consideration. If you live in the Northern Rivers, you can do a lot better.

Chloë’s customer service is second to none. I’ve just moved to Summerland after a decision to deal with a more human banking facility with humanity and I’ve not been disappointed. Chloë would be well suited to training customer service but that’s just my opinion.

The rates, while not the most competitive, are firmly within the top 5 provided in the Northern Rivers . Staff are knowledgeable, patient, caring and genuinely helpful. Services are provided in a professional and efficient manner. I most certainly would and will recommend.
