They are an extremely unprofessional company, they don't trust their employees even if they send an email assuring anything, as the company will not respect any agreements. Sellers just want to sell, and they promise a lot of things, which are not true.So more context here - We bought a terrace in the middle of the year and asked them to add the financial condition so we could cancel and get a full refund, I've asked this question over 100 times to the seller who promises a full refund so, as soon as we got the contract it said I would lose AUD 1500 if I canceled, which I didn't agree with and questioned the seller on the spot, who promised over the phone and EMAIL that this information was not correct assured that I was going to get a full refund. So we continued with the contract but unfortunately, we couldn't go further, well they deducted an amount from our deposit and said their employee made a mistake and gave me the wrong information, however, they need to deduct the amount from my deposit.As I mentioned to them, I understand there is a contract however their employee gave me instructions and emailed me the details so why do I need to pay for their mistakes?Again! If you can, avoid them!

In June 2021 my wife and I engaged Ausmar Homes to build our new home at Nirimba, which is part of the Stockland’s Aura development in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.We signed up for a “home in 8 (weeks)” and were not to be disappointed.Upon reflection, Ausmar exceeded our expectations in so many ways - having the ‘best home design’ that met our needs as a retired couple, competitive price that was great value-for-money for the investment, quality inclusions that were included in the base price (and not treated as ‘add-ons’), competent, friendly and helpful staff, excellent pre-construction and construction communication, well-coordinated construction process with experienced contractors, easy-to-follow online system to monitor construction progress, timely updates on progress from Client Liaison Officers and Site Supervisor and a 'welcome pack' on handover next-to-none!With special thanks to Liam, Andy, Kay, Beck and Mel for their invaluable help during the whole process.We would highly recommend Ausmar to anyone interested in building a high quality home and knowing that they made the right choice of builder in hindsight!

It has been a long process indeed, Due to circumstances beyond AUSMAR,s control (Labour & supply chain), As such they overcame the obstacles determined to build our home from the start with hours spent with Tyrone with his thoughtful insights and suggestions to Sandy picking our colours and fixtures then right to Emmanuel & Janine during the build process. The outcome was nothing short of immense gratitude from us. As we are standing in our home which what was just lines on a page right up to turning the front door key for the first time. The AUSMAR team were right there. Also a special thank you to Tony Bryan the director of AUSMAR who directly interceded on our behalf to sort out a major issue. A business is only as good as the people whom not only own and run it but those that are hired to facilitate that running of it, which from our experience are top notch.Thank you again AUSMAR.Stay true to your values & business practices of no frills no nonsense professionalism for getting it done.

It was a terrible experience with sales representatives Johan and Andrew. I was super excited to build our first home with Ausmar but they made everything stressful , hard and had pulled out everything at the last moment when I was about to have our build contract. We were almost close to settle the land . You cant do any changes with these guys even you are paying for what you change. I have noticed several issues with the initial cost estimate produced by Johan. When you asked any clarifications, they are not ready to provide it. instead I was asked three times to terminate our initial build proposal during the course of process. First one was by Andrew, after few weeks by Johan in writing and when I escalated this matter to management, last one was from Josh ( one of the director ). It's means they don't really respect and care their customers and always trying to cover the mistakes someone has made within their team. It was very funny when I have asked some clarification, I have received an email from Johan saying he can not provide any more clarification , but he is going to cancel our build proposal and refund the money that I have paid ( $ 1500 to lock the initial price & $ 1500 for build contract ). Could anyone expect that kind of answer from any professional company rather encourage their customers to continue with the business . Finally Andrew Robillard refunded $1900 with some deductions by force which he is not supposed to do. His action was extremally unprofessional. Cancelation request has come from AUSMAR and deduction was made by force. They made everting in a mess at the last minute . We had to look for a new builder to continues our process from the scratch. AUSMAR has waisted our time and stolen some of our money by force. I had to fight so much for the money which they have refunded. They can not hold any $ since they asked to cancel our build proposal. Not once . 3 times. If we start the building process with this kind of situation, I can not imagine where we will ended up when we take our home keys .We had a very bad experience with this builder . It’s really disappointing experience!. We would never recommend to anyone. Probably they are too big for individual builds.

Before we went to contract with Ausmar, we were told that should anything happen, we would only lose money that Ausmar spent. Therefore we went to contract and also paid for a 12 month price hold. Unfortunately for us, after 12 months, the land we had signed up to buy was still not developed and registered yet and was delayed for another year. Ausmar came back to us with an increased contract price so we decided to cancel our purchase altogether. Instead of only taking the money that Ausmar had spent as we were told, they also took an addititional $3,000 saying that the deposits we paid when signing the Provisional Sales Estimate(PSE) and New Home Proposal (NHP) which were $1,500 each, were non refundable. In the end we were only refunded about 54% of the deposit that we paid and Ausmar claimed the other 46%. My advice is that if your land has a future registration date, I would not recommend going to contract with Ausmar Homes and never trust what the salesman tells you unless it's in a signed document.

We were excited to start the process with Ausmar as we trusted them as the local experts in building. We spent a considerable amount of time with the sales person getting our home just right and were happy with the price. So we proceeded to pay $1500 for a formal estimate on our build. It came back only $1000 more. Sweet we thought, let’s go to contract. So we paid another $1500 to proceed to contract preparation. Weeks later I noticed our build price had increased by about 20K in their builder trend app. So I rang them to enquire and they set up a meeting. The contract price had been propped up with increased trade cost fees, a late registration fee, and increased allowance for engineering works, + recessed shower. This was all prior to any soil, contour or engineering plans being conducted - which is what I’d thought we had just paid for… also, our land registration was scheduled to be a month overdue from the date I had originally provided them, I had estimated August (for registration) and it was now on track for September - so the late rego fee seemed a bit rich.Additionally we were advised that if we wanted their “Covid Clause” taken out (which enabled them to raise the build price DURING the build) we would need to pay an additional 2-3 percent, roughly 8 grand. So essentially at this point they were asking for an additional 28K (approx), and it felt as if we’d paid for two estimates instead of one - both without soil, contours and engineering mind you. I’m still wondering what our 3 grand paid for and am still waiting for a firm price with engineering works and no covid clause. The entire process has felt like a complete stitch up. Don’t bother with them. We wasted 3 grand and a lot of time dealing with this company.I don’t like writing negative reviews. As you can see for yourself my only 2 other review are both 5 stars. I just want to genuinely warn people about proceeding down a build journey with Ausmar. Proceed at your own risk.

I had the privilege of doing work experience at Ausmar homes. It was a fantastic atmosphere and I noticed an amazing culture. It was clear that everybody genuinely cares about their clients and creating beautiful homes. Thank you Ausmar for the opportunity!

We have worked for Ausmar as a subcontractor for 4+ years on various projects. No other builder, in our 30 years of subcontracting, has treated us nearly as well as Ausmar such as prompt payment of our invoices, treating us with fairness & respect. We highly recommend Ausmar as a builder to both fellow subcontractors and anyone looking for a honest, ethical & professional builder who treats their subcontractors with respect.

My house was built 2016, I am still in it and love my home. No issues with build at all compared to friends and families experience with other builders I would and do only recommend Ausmar. Thanks team :)
