Nails Avenue St Clair

Got my nails done here 3 days ago , one snapped the day after got it fixed now another has snapped. Not impressed. Won't be back

I used to frequent this place every few weeks, but my most recent visit confirms my thoughts. When the older nail techs & owner are there (eg Tina, Joanne/Joanne's son), all the nail techs are lovely and attentive and genuine seem like gentle and friendly people. However, in my visit with my family this past Sunday morning, none of these workers were available and we were treated rather rudely by staff, particularly by the individual who did my nails and by the lady who did my mother's brows. They may not realise that we could understand them bad mouthing our family throughout our stay, insisting that they serve the white ladies first before that one (indicating my mother)". Yes it is your place of work

So the ladies are quite nice to talk to if you get to break that barrier but it truly felt like I had to get in and get out asap. It didn't feel like they really cared about what designs I wanted and the result was honestly not worth the money. I think maybe I could have spoken up more but usually other businesses would regularly check in on whether the look was correct or not :/ They just kinda kept doing their own thing until it was too late. (It didn't help that they gave french tips to the lady next to me who didn't even ask for that either- and mind you she was very clear on what she wanted) It's not the worst place to go to but the 1 star is for how costly it is for something that doesnt look like $100+Sorry yall :/

Terrible service. I went to take off my acrylic nails and she was using another fake nail and forcing it off, not even using acetone and foil. Now, I came here a month ago and got a manicure with shellac for $25. I then get told that it is $45 after repeatedly explaining the price I got before, so I changed and got normal colour. I also had to explain to the lady that I wanted a square oval shape, thinking she knows what it is but she didn’t. She said I had to leave my nails in front of the fan for 30mins which was ridiculous as I have never had to do that at any other nail shop. She would speak and laugh to every other worker about me right in front of me. After finishing, she grabs my hand, pulls it towards her hard to spray then let goes. Super rude and never going back or recommending it to anyone. Don’t even think it deserves a 1 star.

Got a full set of acrylics and had some nail art done. The artist did very well! Extremely satisfied with the nail shape, nail art and care! Will definitely come here again :)

I was going Here for about 18 months and always got my nails done buy Vu. Never had a problem and even got my toes done here too. Vu has left! but they just kept saying his on holidays. Since then a different person has done my nails about 3/4 times, my nails would chip and crack within 1 week. They never lasted 3 weeks And got tired of having to continually get them repaired so I decided to try Venus nails. I got Lana and omg I’ll never be back to nails Avenue. She does the best sns and they lasted the full 3 weeks with out fading or chipping. The quality, care and time she takes to do her job is rare and amazing.Yesterday I got my toes done at nails avenue as i figured they have generally always been good with pedicures. Today the whole colour fell of my little toe in tact. Not even 24 hours later and now I only have 9 toes painted. Pedicures should be relaxing and enjoyable but the whole experience was rushed and the staff were just racing through it. I was with my mother in law and they finished her before even starting me, I booked us at the same time for a reason. Unfortunately it seem nails avenue are now about getting people in and out as fast as possible while compromising quality and customer service.Save ur money and go to Venus nails. The ladies there especially Lana are lovely and they take their time, nothing is a bother to them.

I only ever go to this nail salon, Joanne is so lovely and very helpful. Great service and prices
