Bombay to Byron - Authentic Indian Food
A few minutes walk away from the main beach, this is an authentic Indian restaurant. Absolutely enjoyed their lunch menu (until 3pm) - the masala dosa esp. I ate at least once in there while I was at Byron.Had Chicken curry for dinner and that was very good too. I totally recommend this place.

Not one to leave reviews unless I’m super impressed or super disappointed, and in this case it’s unfortunately the latter.I’m stunned how this restaurant has such high reviews. The food is well below average and for anyone to think it’s anywhere close to authentic food… they really must have no idea about Indian food.Daal tadka came with broccoli, carrots and curry leaves in it… errrrrr since when does daal tadka taste like Sambhar?Garlic naan had raw garlic paste out of a jar smothered all over it. A few bites of this abomination of a naan and we couldn’t handle it any more. The Amritsari fish should be renamed Amritsari batter. There was hardly any fish and it felt like we’re eating spiced, fried batter. The only thing I’d class as edible is the Kerala Chicken.Never going back and I find it laughable that someone left them a review saying just their food was worth driving down from Brisbane for!!!Save your money and go elsewhere.

My wife and I have eaten at many Indian restaurants and by far, Bombay to Byron was the best one. Exceptional food and exceptional service. A must visit if you’re staying in Byron.

I’ve been living in Byron for 4 years now. Gone to Almost all restaurants in the area and to be honest none of them get close to the food at Bombay. Definitely best food in Byron. It’s always my go to option.Ps: Suggestion to bring the masala dosa special to dinner time :)

Bombay to Byron - Authentic Indian Food
We had a heard a lot about this restaurant over the Internet but I truly feel it’s just over hyped. We tried Saag Chicken and Kadai Paneer which were satisfactory, the uncooked naans were a major letdown. The customer service was average, lacking any apology or concern for the issue. The restaurant needs improvement in both cooking and customer service aspects to enhance the overall dining experience.

Great atmosphere, great customer service, and amazing food. There was no extra masala or oil, almost like home cooked food but bursting with flavours. Great work to the team, and thank you.

Bombay to Byron - Authentic Indian Food
It didn't look like much from the car park, HOWEVER... the authentic indian food was fresh and very tasty, I thought the portion sizes were great value for the price. Lovely staff, we had a great chat to the guys doing the cooking and got a brief rundown on the ingredients, cooking methods and cultural significance of their more unusual dishes. Then we tried some.Overall a great experience.I also noticed they knew a lot of their take out customers by name
