Needham Air

Where do we start with this repeated nightmare experience. Used Needham to service my house AC until it broke down beyond repair 2 yrs ago, was quoted for a replacement system, all agreed. Booking was made for installation, then it was changed at the last minute apparently because the new unit (Actron) did not arrive on time, ok, rescheduled to another day, installers turned up only to tell me that actually they were double booked on the previously scheduled day, so clearly someone is telling porkies here.Installation went fine apart from the installers telling me they had not installed an Actron system in the 12 months before mine, great confidence here!. I opted for the Wi-Fi module they came with the unit, this did not work from the get go, took multiple calls to Needham to sort this, eventually someone came out and even they could not get it to work, so eventually this part was refunded (not the labor costs to install it though!! of course). 10 months later the new system broke down, called Needham who sent someone out, within 5 minutes I was told the capacitor and soft starter had failed, ok sure, since it was under warranty I figured it would be an easy fix, Oh no, sorry we don't carry those parts (despite supplying and installing the units) and the parts will need to be ordered in. Sure ok, so I waited, a week later I received an invoice from Needham Air wanting me to pay for the attendance and replacement parts, I needed to then remind them this was under warranty!!, no apology, parts somehow took a further 3 weeks to arrive, leaving my household with a young child without any heating for 4 weeks while we waited for these 'parts'. This was a very easy fix for the repairman who took less than 10 minutes to do it so for a large company like Needham to not carry simple parts like this is beyond me. Fast forward to the end of last year, no call about the yearly service needed for the warranty. Called Needham Air, someone took my number, never called back. I needed to follow it up again myself only to be told there is a 3 month wait to get anyone to do a service!!, only when pressed on this issue somehow an appointment was available then in 1 month, not 3, clearly this company has very poor communication, poor service and blatantly lies to its customers. Sadly I am stuck with this company for a while longer with the warranty, but I wont be hesitating to change when that's over. Written documentation is needed if dealing with this company!.

Installation of a ducted reverse cycle airconditioning system, plus removal of an old evaporative system, and 2 old split systems. From the initial showroom contact, thhrough to site assessment, design & installation, the experience was a positive one. The staff (at all stages) were friendly, professional, efficient & worked well as a team. This is our second installation with this company & we would highly recommend.

Throughout my recent aircon install job, I was continually satisfied with the service levels and communication at Needham Air. On the day my aircon unit was to finally be installed, it unfortunately eventuated that the system would not fit into the roof cavity as we'd hoped. The installer and the team at Needham quickly managed to pivot and get a different unit delivered to site & installed for me on the same day. This was a great relief and a fantastic demonstration of problem solving and customer service. I'd recommend using this business for your air-conditioning installation in Perth :)

Needham were the second installer we contacted and absolutely blew the first one out of the water with the quality of their design and the units supplied. Dave's design was efficient and took into account our need to keep everything as hidden as possible from the exterior. The install was fast despite being quite a complicated retrofit, the sparky Mark was great, and everything is practically invisible. Can't recommend Dave, Mark and the team highly enough.

Comfort All Year Round!Our Mitsubishi Reverse Cycle air conditioning system was installed in one day. A skip bin was delivered to our home prior to the day of instal and was promptly collected the day after instal. Despite a small technical hitch on the day of instal, the issue was dealt with promptly and quickly resolved and we were kept in the communication loop so we knew exactly what was happening. All the Needham Air staff that presented on the day of instal, from lead foreman, electrician, instal staff etc were punctual, polite, worked diligently, cleaned up during and after the job and left us with a beautiful new reverse cycle system which we love! I am a returning customer to Needham Air. Hard to believe our previous Mitsubishi reverse cycle air-conditioner stopped working after 24 years! LOL That's why I went straight to Paul Needham to purchase another Mitsubishi reverse cycle air-conditioning unit. Paul's knowledge and professional approach ensured we were happy with the explanation of how the new system worked and it was promtply installed. I highly recommend Needham Air to anyone requiring a reverse cycle air conditioning system.

From the moment David turned up at the house for our quote, I knew this was going to go smoothly. David listened to what we wanted and supplied alternatives, which were excellent. On the follow up meeting with David and the installer the plan, for three seperate systems was further refined. The installation was smooth and on time, the installation was excellent and all rubbish was removed from site. My elderly mother is extremely happy with the final result. All round excellent job

Recently, I needed to replace the 18 year old ducted heating and A/C system in my apartment.When researching options on the internet, I was delighted to see that Needham Air was still in business - having used them 30+ years ago!Paul Needham did a site inspection prior to providing a detailed quote that included how they would would manage the specific challenges of an inner city location and an apartment on an upper level of a large high rise complex.The installation was on time and demonstrated outstanding project/timeline/logistics planning and management.Communication was excellent, staff were professional, very pleasant and demonstrated great teamwork - as did the contractors (electrician John, and plasterers James and Jarrad).I highly recommend Needham Air. It was a very difficult job - and I can’t fault them.My experience definitely confirms that you get what you pay for!

I can’t speak too highly of this family owned and run business. They really care about their customers. They installed my Actron ducted reverse cycle air conditioner over 9 years ago and have serviced and maintained it for me each year. Its used almost daily, continuously 24/7 in summer and hasn’t missed a beat, until recently and it needed a repair. They were quick to respond with a fault diagnosis. Their very polite, respectful and efficient technician came back with the needed part and got us back up and running. Keep up the great work Needhamair !
