Donegal Farmstay Tenterfield

My partner and I stayed at the farm for 2 night with our dog and absolutely loved every bit. We definitely could have enjoyed a few more nights but our schedule didn't allow. Amazing hosts with plenty of advice on our next stop on the road trip we were doing. Our dog isn't great with other pups and Simon and Greg were so accommodating by having their dogs stay with a neighbour so our boy could enjoy a run in the fields freely. I don't know who wouldn't have a nice time staying here, with the chooks, (getting fresh eggs as we arrived) horses and cattle kids would love it. Enough privacy for a romantic getaway and the saddlers retreat where we stayed is big enough for a group to enjoy. The next time we visit this part of Australia we will 100% want to stay here again.

Stunning property with beautiful views down to a large pond and across the farmland. Simon & Greg were very welcoming hosts who cooked us delicious food. We enjoyed seeing all the animals and Greg's local knowledge was useful for advising the best riding routes. Sally & Hazel, the dogs, kept us entertained for hours - or was it the other way around!?! All the rooms are finished to a very high specification with comfy beds and fluffy towels. We had a heavenly stay in a glorious house with fabulous hosts: thank you!

We couldn’t be happier with our hosts and our time here. We had 3 nights to stay in the self contained accomodation and I felt right at home due to the down to earth nature of our hosts, i will definitely be back again.Everything was spotless and I loved being able to see all the beautiful animals. Highly recommended

Superb, simply superb this place and location. Super friendly welcome, greathhost who really makes you feel at home. Tastefully arranged accommodation, quiet and relaxing, quality bedding. I recommend the dinner option too, 3 course with drinks included and literally cooked in front of you. To round it up a cooked, personalized breakfast is included. And all this while your electric vehicle is being AC charged under cover with up to 22kW/ 3 phase.Very reasonably priced too

We spent 3 nights at Donegal Farmstay in the self- contained accommodation which was about 100 metres from the main house. We were welcomed by our hosts Greg and Simon with their 3 lovely chocolate labradors. After settling in we were given a tour of the place, including the chicken coop, and cow paddocks. One of the cows calved on our first night, so we felt very privileged to be there. Our accommodation was spotless, and everything we needed was available, and our hosts had thoughtfully supplied us with freshly laid eggs. Sanitiser was left out for us to use. Although there was only one bedroom, our accommodation was very roomy: there were bunk beds in the living room-kitchen which was very long: 2 x lounges plus several chairs; a table and chairs; plus a full kitchen.Tenterfield is only a 15 minute drive away and appears to be a lovely town with many cafes and clothing shops.I thoroughly recommend this place as it was very peaceful and our hosts were extremely thoughtful and friendly and we enjoyed meeting them.

This is a real gem if you’re lucky enough to stay at this farm place! Not in a particular order, for a very reasonable price ( should be higher) you get to stay in a self contained roomy apartment with an organic vegetable plot just in front of you! The place is fresh and clean, peaceful and close to all attractions. Would suit anyone- young couple, young family or a single traveler! What I love the most- everything is genuine about this place and the hosts are kind ! Would love to come back again!

Beautiful property, beautiful house. The room was modern and cozy all at once. Greg was so amazing and easy-going. You won’t find a more hospitable host.Breakfast was lovely and we even got to tag along to meet some of their horses.

Built with Love!What more can I say about a house, fences and yards - everything.Should you visit Donegal (and I highly recommend it), you are visiting a B&B that far surpasses most. The house and views are to die for.It is architecturally and environmentally 10/10. Country NSW and you have double-glazed windows, heat reverse pumps......and I could go on.And last but far from least are Simon and Greg: your most hospitable of hosts. If you can arrange it, organise dinner - Greg was our chef and we had a sumptuous dinner. As for the breakfast, well that lasted until dinner.

My family has just spent a wonderful few days at Donegal Horse and Farm stay and we loved it. Greg and Simon are fantastic hosts. The Saddlers retreat is extremely comfortable and well appointed self catering accommodation. It was wonderful to be able to roam the property and enjoy the open spaces without seeing another holidaymaker. Hazel and Sally" were great tour guides around the property which boasts expansive views and a running watercourse. The local community is vibrant and opportunities for daytrips are plenty.
