Damien and his crew at ACT Sheds & Patios were exceptional. Honest, Fair and Professional. Can't ask for more than that!

Damien supplied a good quality shed in the end. I would not recommend as many critical parts of the shed were not delivered, he took no responsibility to check and did not provide a BOM for me to check. It took months for all the items to be delivered eventually and it took a lot of effort. Although the shed is very good quality, the company he uses for shed supply (Ezbuilt) has very poor supply chain management. Avoid this business until they can handle logistics well.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE - PLEASE READ MY (HONEST) REVIEW IN FULL SO YOU DON'T GET BURNED. IN SHORT...YOU ARE DEALING WITH A ONE PERSON BACKYARD BUSINESS WITH NO PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE UNDERTAKING SHED BUILDING.NO PROJECT MANAGEMENT, NO SCHEDULING OF WORK, NO SITE VISITS TO CHECK WORK COMPLETED, DOESN'T RESPOND TO EMAILS OR PHONE MESSAGES. REALLY, REALLY LONG DELAYS FOR ANYTHING TO GET DONE!ALSO, YOU KNOW THIS BUSINESS IS DODGY WHEN EX EMPLOYEES DON'T WANT THEIR NAMES MENTIONED AS THEY DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE BUSINESS.The biggest issue with dealing with this business is a real lack of project management and communication skills. The business owner is an ex-storehouse manager. Best stick with what you actually know Damien and not take on things that you have no experience (or talent) in. Just calling subcontractors up when you actually remember that you have a customer is not project management! The only time he is actually prompt is when he wants his money for (some of) the work (eventually) gets done. I'll speak more about that later with regards to unfinished work.I would not recommend this business to a friend as I value my friends and would not like to see them go through what I did. Individual (and factual) issues below.Quoting— beware of scope creep— on same day I paid for all materials, tried to charge me anextra $1,000 for removal of existing shed— did not contact me about $1,100 extra cost for concretingProject Management— basically no adequate project management skills. Justorganises sub-contractors when they feel like it— did not do site visit to check after shed demolished, preparation for slab or after slab laid— does not keep customer up to date with deliveries and workdates— delays are usually counted in weeks and months rather thandays— not notified on exact days when contractors are coming out— no delivery/installation planCommunication issues— major issues with responding to emails requesting workdates or complaints— uses the excuse over the phone that they were just in theprocess of emailing me. Only emails were on original quote— has not responded to practical completion remedy requestsDelivery of materials— not all materials delivered on initial delivery— 4 additional deliveries neededSlab preparation— still awaiting removal of soil that was taken out for slabpreparation (4+ months ago)— still awaiting removal of concrete that was taken out for slabpreparation (4+ months ago)Concreting— slab below level of backyard (expect this will cause rainwater to drain into shed)— edges have excess and will need chiselling outShed build— took 6 months before work commenced on shed— took 8 weeks after slab laid for any work to start on the shed— took a number of weeks to complete (had to keep calling tofind out where contractors are)Material removal— still awaiting excess colourbond metal not yet removedElectrician— gave up after 3 weeks of promising to get them in and willorganise myselfSUMMARY OF UNFINISHED WORK- didn't remove all of old shed- didn't remove soil as part of the slab preparation- didn't remove cement slag when slab laid- didn't finish guttering- didn't take away leftover colourbond sheetsThe matter is now with the NSW AAT as the business owner stopped point blank communicating. I won't update this review any more as the outcome won't change the rating (or experience) and all I hope is that the business folds soon so that customers can actually get a quality experience through another shed building firm.OVERALL RATING 1/5 experience. This is an accurate account of my experience. Others may have different experiences. «Caveat emptor»
