It's not the best-looking shop, but hey, it's a fish and chip shop.The foods are really nice, they do a great job only down fall as many others the price for Fish and chips has been jacked up.

I love fish n chips, my favourite take away, untouched by human hands once it comes out of that hot oil. Unlike expensive fried chicken you eat it all, half the chicken is bones. I remember in my youth on the bus driving by the fish and chips shop on Friday evenings seeing Catholics crowding the shop because we couldn't have meat on Friday back then. Winter is best time to enjoy a fat hot bag of chips and potato cakes etc. So I chanced upon Barra Fish & Chips from a bus for the first time so the next time I was in my car I went there and wasn't disappointed. The servings are generous and tasty and still very reasonable price wise, you can't go wrong honestly. I'll be back, it's closer to where I normally go and just as good which is something. A tip, don't expose your chips, they get cold quickly so keep them cosy in the bag and tear open one end and prepare to burn your fingertips, that's your initiation. If there's two or more of you, order separately, it's more fun having your own bag.

Pre-order available over the phone. Fish has tasty batter. Grilled fish available. The chips are crisp and delicious. Clean store. Reasonable prices.

Friendly, fast service.Still a local fish and chip place that adds a potato cake which appreciate.Also during lockdown restrictions this business kept everyone updated on local fb pages if they had to close. Which was great customer service. They feed many locals regularly.

Nice tasting fish , bit small so I think they added a extra potato cake to make up for it. I reckon the potato cakes could have been cooked more. Good service, clean shop and plenty of parking
