Longreach Caravan Park

Backs onto major road so truck noise through the night. Very crowded Sunday night better Monday night. Pleasant social hour in the late avo. Various groups met during the day too. Not somewhere we would usually choose but we needed power and it was a short walk to maim Street.

It is a pity that such a close to town spot has become a bit run-down. The hosts are lovely, and I hope they can find a purchaser with the funds and resources to get this park a bit modernised.

Well, what can I say about this place after a week camping on an unpowered site. Firstly, it is bloody expensive. I was charged 29 bucks a night which rates, when I compare it to other sites I have visited, and indeed, the site I am on now at Karumba, as bloody extortionate. The facilities are old. Very old and badly need upgrading. Every tap that I saw in the park leaked and some of the electricals need a lot to be desiredHow it passes safety inspections is beyond me and I'm an engineer. If you to happen to book here I would advise that you give the morning and afternoon tea a miss. The reality is that it really a forum to hear the owner, who attends every time, a chance to spout about things he knows nothing, or very little, about. The place is up for sale and to be honest, it is going to need a fair amount of coin spent on it to bring up to a decent standard. Definitely one to miss.

Grass everywhere and a slab for the awning. Beautifully clean amenities. Small quiet park. Stayed 3 nights for $105 power and water.

Worst park we have stayed in ! Amenities are filthy, possibly built 1940s and haven’t been cleaned since. Tiles in showers disgusting. Common area has substandard table and chairs, again possibly old as park .Would not recommend

Wayne and I had a lovely time there. Lovely get together in afternoon and meet ppl.i read some reviews but we loved the look of the shade and grass area. We have big dog and suited us perfectly. Very clean. Thank you. Remember your in the outback not city.

Very cramped caravan park. Yes, they'll fit you in, but you're going to feel like you're on top of everyone else. Smells come from the neighbours property. Camp kitchen is basically non existent. Amenities are in need of replacement. Better try the new park down the road, more space, modern facilities.

Great little park in town, the location is quiet and your hosts are accommodating. Don't believe the negative posts, yes it's old but the facilities are clean and tidy and there are lawns.
