Patronising and sarcastic man. I wanted to buy some vinyl from his store but walked out without doing so because of how unpleasant he is. I think he's just insecure or unhappy with life and projects that onto unsuspecting customers. In short, he's a sorry excuse for a record store owner. Go to Tommy Gun instead. That guy is sweet and helpful. And he respects his customers no matter their music preferences!

Wonderful range of 60s and 70s CDs, esp. unusual comps and lesser known artists. Excellent array of hard to get Aussie CD reissues. Just wish there was a used section.

Would rate 0 if possible, was really angry that we browsed collection and gave out about travellers not being willing to purchase albums due to packing constraints. Really upsetting as since wet are record enthusiasts, we would have recommended the shop to friends for its collection. Threw a Hobart pamphlet at us since we were “tourists” and said “tell your friends we’re just one of the sights and we won’t expect any money from you”. Owner extremely rude.

Great range, new and used records and CDs. Something for everyone, so much goodness packed into the cosiest of places. Always groovy tunes playing, many hours have been lost browsing music in there.

Nice little store with a quite varied collection. The gentleman i spoke to, (assume he is the manager/owner) was friendly and helpful. Pricing is fair, i had no issues with service. Will be back again in future.

Music Without Frontiers
I enjoyed my experience at the small and cosy music store. The owner, Stefan, is a genuinely caring and kind man who is willing to share any advice whether it be related to music, food or friendly banter.Any new customers tempted to visit the store must be aware that Stefan is old-fashioned and means well despite previous negative reviews. My response to their criticism is that you meet different kinds of people through life, the people who come out with a greater and positive experience are those who are genuinely interested in everyone they've met.

Great music store with a heap of vinyl. Additionally the owner Stefan is very knowledgeable and personable - he went out of his way to recommend us some local gigs and venues in Hobart when we asked, down to calling the venue to check what acts were on!
