Nice view down the valley from above the power station. Last hundred metres must be walked from car park area.

Wrights Lookout
A beautiful spot, easy to get to from Kuranda, not far past Barron Falls. The lookout is a short easy walk from the carpark with a view back towards Cairns. From here a 3.2km return walk takes you to Surprise creek which runs down to the Hydro Plant. There is seating and a picnic bench at the lookout.

Wrights Lookout
We drove to Kuranda national Park and this is only 50 metre walk from lookout car park. Go and see if you have 10 minutes spare time.

Serene and lush. Can't recommend it enough. Either drive or wall from Kuranda (approx 5km?) You will not be disappointed.

Wrights Lookout
You can see the barron Gorge and Cairns City from here. And it is not as popular.as a result not a lot of people make the trip up here. Beautiful views.

I would not get skyrail or the train (saving $109 pp!!), if you do you miss out on a great drive up and coming to Wright’s lookout which looks down the gorge to Cairns.

Wrights Lookout
The second times to visit here as we went to Kuranda and this lookout was nearby. The spot is quite good but the tree and green block the view which we can see something at our first visit. It seems this place need more good care.
