We had a relaxed team meeting and the wait staff worked around our discussion bringing us entree platters while we worked, taking mains orders when we took a break. The food was delicious and our seating was comfortable. Highly recommend.

Elaia has been around for a long time and I've had many a breakfast or lunch date there over the years. Howeveri hadn't dined there now in quite some time and decided to book a ladies dinner catch up for 7 people last Saturday. The menu is now Greek and what a wonderful display of Greek food it was!!! Everything was so flavoursome and delicious. The serving sizes were very generous too! I don't think anyone was able to eat everything off their plate. 2 of us decided to do the Greek feast $70 set menu. It was amazing! Basically we got to try a bit of everything off the menu including dessert! I would definitely recommend to give Elaia a try, even if you have been there in the past, because the new Greek menus are fantastic! I don't think there are any other places in Launceston doing Greek cuisine either so it's definitely filling a void.

I must say, it was a delightful experience. The pasta and vegetarian pizza I ordered for lunch were simply outstanding. The pasta (Carbonara pasta made with a creamy combination of eggs, cheese, bacon, garlic, parmesan and a sprinkle of parsley $29.90) was cooked to perfection, with a rich and flavorful sauce that had just the right amount of seasoning. The vegetarian pizza (with spinach, mushrooms, red onion, olives, fetta $25.90 v/vgo) was a delightful medley of fresh vegetables and a perfectly crisp crust. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, and the flavors truly shone through. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance of the cafe added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend Elaia Cafe for anyone looking for great food in Launceston.

One of the nice restaurants in Launceston. Food is great and staff are friendly. There is on street parking and sometimes it difficult to find a good spot. This is a busy place. Toilets are at the back of the building and you need keys from restaurant to access them. We ordered Fish & Chips, Pizza, Burger etc. Service is great and delivered on time.

Booked online for the off season special - grilled octopus and locally made Ouzo. Had platter of dips as entrée - easily the best hummus we've tasted. For mains- grilled octopus, lemon potatoes and slow-cooked lamb. Dessert was the flourless chocolate cake and Greek coffee. All dishes were generously portioned, so we ordered one dessert and shared between the two of us. Of all the places we dined out, Elaia was the least expensive without compromising on the quality of their food. The restaurant itself is clean and tastefully styled, with a vibrant, bustling atmosphere. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Would definitely dine at Elaia again.
