This is service with a smile! The rooms are kept clean and there is limited cooking equipment in the kitchenette of each room, the only drawback for the we whom indulge in a cigarette is that smoking is not allowed outside our rooms as like most other places, the lodge has 3 designated smoking area's, which isn't too bad unless you're in an upstairs room & then it becomes a never ending stair treading experience

Room are beautiful and comfy, clean unless you are staying for more then 2 days then I suggest bringing your own vacuum cleaner as they won't enter to vacuum for you.

This is a great place to stay, clean rooms, everything you need, close to large shopping centres, good take away in walking distance. Darryl is a pleasant and helpful host, a good natured man and hospitable, making a stay at Cedar Lodge trouble free and comfortable. What more do you need? The charges compare more than favourably with other accommodation around Townsville. I recommend this motel and will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area. Thanks for a pleasant stay :)

My room had ants everywhere in the kitchen it wasn’t clean the carpet was dirty my room smelled of urine and bathroom shower had mould in the door it wouldn’t close and the bathroom smelled of sewage. The air conditioning doesn’t have a heat button it was very cold and not enough bedding to keep you warm.

When a review starts with at least it’s clean, you should know there is not much else about the place that is possible. Zero charm and a little old, if well maintained. This purely functional motel would be ok if it were at a lower price point. Our rooms cost $145 & $149 respectively. The host was very charming though. The reasonably tall man shower test was failed.

Shocking. Room wasn't clean when we arrived. Management was more concerned about getting us on his good side then cleaning the room. Charged $10 more than the quoted cost then gave it back as a peace offering when confronted with the horrible room.

Extremely disappointed!My family and I have stayed at cedar lodge many of times in the last 6 months it’s been well over 6 stays and we make a point of recommending it to othersSad to say that will no long happen.The room had maggots!!! The owner was disgusting with his attitude, when I rang to book after being told I would get a discount due to the maggot then it not being honoured, until I rang to cancel I was offered at $75 discount, I proceed to decline and then said I wanted to proceed with cancellation I was told they don’t want me staying there again either because of my attitude! Will never stay nor recommend this place again

I flew into Townsville under sad circumstances, & my travel times were way out of check in times. The staff at the motel were so accommodating & helpful. Room clean & all that I needed for my overnight stay. I would highly recommend this motel to any travellers.
