Best Friends Pets Maribyrnong

Isabellla from the Best Friends Pets store in Maribrynong was an extreme delight. She possessed a wealth of knowledge about pet care and welfare. She conducted herself in a highly professional manner throughout our whole interaction. Isabella was very informative and patient in discussing various pet items and took extreme care in helping us choose the best harness for our new pup, Benji. She took into account not only his size but considered his personality which she quickly learnt about when discussing various options. As such we made the perfect purchase and our pup was happy with his new harness that day. More importantly he was comfortable and safe. Isabella was very warm and engaging and with our pup she was very confident and gentle with him. Isabella was also able to diffuse a situation whereby another large dog was continuously barking and she did this whilst juggling other priorities such as managing and responding to customer enquiries and ensuring the welfare of all animals at the time. Isabella should be commended for her outstanding customer and pet service.

Was a fantastic place but a new veternarian has overtaken the vet area and the prices have gone up astronomically since then. She is extremely expensive compared to the previous veternarian. We will take our pet elsewhere

2 female staff members were too busy talking and didnt greet nor assist. Only said bye as i walked out. I went to pet barn and spent my 300$ there and received actual service.

This use to be my regular store not any more I will travel further get better service and better prices. Staff are rude and pricing is astronomical.

Had the guinea pig items we went in for, staff were friendly, everything seemed well organised and tidy

Not a good experience. I would have spent in excess of $120 but this rort which is price matching with sometimes a bigger than $20 difference is losing them customers. Today, I was told that it had to be from one source to account for shipping! It makes for a waste of time and thinly veiled contempt for one's regular customers! Also, depending on who is on the floor and which manager is working that day, the experience can vary wildly. This shop has been ok in the past. It's not so ok anymore, it appears.

Because I am owned by a Fluffy Overlord, I find myself now visiting pet stores with the same sort of frequency as I used to visit chocolatiers. As with chocolatiers, Best Friends stocks food, albeit of the less glass and a half in every bar" variety for humans
