Kaluna Island, Wangaratta
Kaluna Island is accessed by a low-lying concrete bridge at the King River end of Thomas St. The river surrounds the island and flooding often covers the bridge.The main feature of the walk is the many large, very old red gums and several acacia varieties. Bird life abounds, particularly sulphur crested cockatoos and yellow rosellas.
