John Ryan Removals

We engaged John Ryan Removals based on the experience and recommendation of friends. Our move from Melbourne to regional Victoria occurred during the second COVID lockdown. We were very happy with the whole experience from the quote process, delivery of packing materials and the actual move itself.Only one item was broken and that because it wasn't packed by us as well as it could have been. All the staff were professional, courteous, careful and obliging and we have no hesitation in recommending them or using their services again.

We are so lucky that we chose John Ryan Removals (Chess). Ten Gold Stars!Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional and went out of their way to be helpful. We were moving interstate on a fairly tight budget with 30 years’ worth of hoarding to be moved. From the agreed quote through to the removal date everything was securely locked in, and on moving day David and Stu treated each and every item as if it was their own favourite possession.But . . . I had made a bad mistake; I hadn’t dried my fridge out properly. David had a solution for that as well as some great tricks when it came to packing my clothes. If that wasn’t enough, their partner for our interstate move (Atkins) somehow managed to deliver our furniture early during the Christmas rush, so I wouldn’t have to worry about my fridge becoming mouldy.Thank you for everything you did for us.

Recently used these guys to move from Melbourne to Cairns. They were so professional and easy to work with the entire time. The guys that packed our container (Matty & Craig) were amazing. Nothing broke let alone moved in there, they packed it so well!Highly recommend

Moving is never easy but we were wrapped with our choice of John Ryan removals from the quotation stage through to completion of our move. Our sales rep Keith was at all times polite, courteous and kept us well informed of the timetable and process. Our uplift team led by truck driver Andy and Steve and Jim did a great job loading and we could see the thought and effort involved throughout the process to ensure the safety of our goods in transit. Similarly on unloading Andy, Adam and Max did a great job and were at all times professional. courteous and efficient. Nothing was a problem even when furniture didn't fit where we thought and a lap of the house was involved! We originally wanted Chess removals, but they no longer work out of Melbourne. They team up with John Ryan removals. We booked them from Melbourne to Adelaide, but had to put the move on ice because of the border closures. Eventually went ahead with the removal. They were so patient with us. They were great. Professional and so friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and would definitely use them again.

The staff at John Ryan were amazing. I had items shipped internationally and they were professional and very efficient. I spoke with Sue and several other members of staff and each person worked extremely hard to make sure I was a satisified customer. You definately should use them if you are moving anything. We recently engaged John Ryan Removals to move our stuff and car to New Zealand as we are relocating. Great communications from everyone from the company, keeping us posted every step of the way. Two of the lovely gentlemen came to pack our things, on scheduled time and super friendly. David and Timothy are highly commendable on the job they did packing our stuff with care and I was given a copy of the items that was shipped through. The day I went to drop the car, I was dropped off at the nearest train station to assist me with my transport back home, thank you Keith. Used John Ryan Removals for my recent house move in Melbourne. Found them good to deal with. Had a consultant call at house and check all the items to be moved before a quote given. As a result nice big truck of the right size and four staff turned up on the day and were very efficient. Nothing broken or damaged.

I first started using John Ryan Removals in late 80’s and continued to use them as my primary relocation provider until my retirement. When my wife and I decided to relocate to QLD I only sought one quote, from JRR’s. When Keith came out to provide us with a quote he was very helpful and informative. After accepting JRR’s quote I called Keith on several occasions and all time he provide accurate answers to my questions.When Dan and Craig came to pack up our house yesterday (14/03/23), they arrived on time, were extremely friendly and helpful, we were very impressed with the way they wrapped and packed our goods and chattels, it was a pleasure to have the boys packing our house, I would have no hesitation in recommending John Ryan Removals for any domestic move, round the corner or interstate. Lastly we would like to say a big thank you to Dan and Craig, you made a very stressful day easy work for us and it we couldn’t asked for any better removalist. Thanks boys for job well done.

Our experience moving to New Zealand with the help (or lack thereof) of John Ryan Removals has been terrible. Initially, they were quick and professional through the quoting and booking and packing process. I was impressed. However when it came to shipping the container (and they had received payment in full) everything ground to a halt. Terrible communication (no response to emails, never once were available to talk to me when I would call (multiple times a day) and have never called back).Moving to a new country is stressful enough, but dealing with this has made it even more stressful.I asked for our belongings to be shipped at the beginning of February and now it’s mid April and I’m yet to receive proof that it has left Australia.Safe yourself the hassle - use someone else.
