Australian 4WD and Advanced Driver Education

If you are worried about spending the course fee, don't! This companies' courses are worth every cent. I have just finished the two day bush, sand and recovery course. I went in not knowing anything and I came out knowing a heap, including how to safely operate my vehicle. They give you heaps of one on one time with your own car. I cannot recommend this company enough. Kev and Trevor were just brilliant, and Jan was an absolute pleasure to deal with and very helpful.

Across one weekend Kev and Trev provided a comprehensive entry-level 4WD course, covering vehicle ownership and preparation, techniques for bush and beach off-roading, and the fundamentals of various recovery techniques.The Bush and Sand weekend course was perfectly suited for myself, and most others on the course, who had recently bought a 4WD and were keen to get a few fundamentals under their belts before hitting the rough stuff with family and friends.

Kev and Trev took us all through safe operation of our 4WDs and gave us a chance to try out all the things we learned. Both were encouraging and cautious, and we didn't feel like we were pushed to do anything we weren't comfortable with.Both are definitely a steady pair of hands!It was great to learn more about the capabilities of our 4WD. The guys knew how all of our cars worked and were able to lead us through the use of all of the off-road settings, even the spaceship cockpit of a 200 series Sahara (not ours, but man, the settings!). We tackled tracks we didn't think we would ever manage, but with Kev and Trev's instruction, it was challenging but satisfying.We spent quite a bit of time on 4WD recovery techniques, which given 4WD recoveries kill people every year is essential. I was definitely keen to learn recovery techniques from professionals before I risked someone's life using Google and Facebook as a training aid. Every 4WD owner should learn recovery techniques before they attempt them.Second day beach driving course included both optimal driving techniques on soft sand as well as recovery practice so we could practice what we learned.Cannot recommend the Bush, Beach and Recovery training weekend enough.Thanks to Kev, Jan (who coordinated dates and arrangements by email) and Trev for an instructive, challenging weekend. We're definitely off to practice what we've learned!

If you're new to 4x4 and you feel terrified at the thought of getting stuck on the beach or in the bush, or you're worried that you won't be able to drive your 4x4 on rough terrain. Well, look no further than Australian 4wd Advanced Driver Education. Trev is an incredible teacher. Patient and extremely knowledgeable. He'll take you through the steps and soon enough you'll be climbing crazy hills and driving through beach sand without any fear. He is so thorough with the recovery. There's absolutely nothing to worry about. My husband and I feel so much more confidant in our 4x4 now and we aren't worried at all if we get stuck. We'll get out. Trev knows everything about every model of 4x4 there is on the market and way back models too. Also, you don't just learn how to drive and recover, but you learn so much about your car and the maintenance of it. I can't recommend this company enough. What an experience! Recently my wife and I did the Bush, Sand and Recovery weekend.  It was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.  Jan was very helpful and efficient getting us booked on the course.  Kev and Trev were a wealth of knowledge and were very calm and patient as they delivered the course.  We're now looking forward with confidence to upcoming off road adventures.  And as an added bonus, for a small extra cost and some homework on the Saturday night, we were certified for a nationally recognised course and now save 20% off our insurance!  We couldn't be happier.

Kev, Trev (and Jan in the office) are all great. You will NOT regret investing in their driving courses. (And you can get a certificate that’ll give you a discount on 4x4 insurance.)We were complete newbies but they had us doing all sorts of great stuff so that we could learn the capability of our vehicle (and camper trailer) backed up with solid theory/discussion too. We learned what we could do too (and what not to do as well!). They are generous and kind in their instruction. It was a really positive experience and has prepared us well for our big trip. We recently purchased a second hand 4wd to allow us to go camping in more remote areas and start hitting the beaches come Summer. I'm a 4wd novice and have only ever gone out with friends who where more experienced 4wd drivers. My wife purchased the 2 days 4WD bush, sand and recovery training course for my birthday and it was probably the handiest present ever. Kev and Trev were awesome and super knowledgeable. Learnt so much over the two days. Got to understand my vehicle and 4wd gears capabilities and limitations. Definitely more confident now to go out on my own. Thanks Team.

Two action-packed days on the beach on Bribie Island and in the bush near Kurwongbah under the expert guidance of Kev and Trev. The course is a great blend on practical experience and theory, at the end of which I was able to pass the RIIVEH305F certificate (gets you 20% off insurance with selected providers).
