I drove miles to visit Lake Muir in March it would be a big lake if it had water. I guess it was the wrong time of year.However if you are looking for somewhere hot, dry and big this is the place.Other stuff, the roads are very straight and lined with trees. You don't see many people over here.

Frankland-Lake Muir-ManjimupIf your taking a trip to Manjimup 35 minutes from Frankland River Retreat & 41 minutes from Manjimup.The Lake Muir observatory boardwalk is a good spot for a quick pit stop.There's a picnic area & traditional ozzy toilet and the observation broad walk.if you listen you can hear plenty of birdlifeits FREE & a chance for a quick stop stretch you legs & breath in some fresh air

One of the few stops on the long scenic drive between Mt Barker and Bridgetown, and for that I am grateful for the chance to stretch our legs.We did not, however, see any birds.Took refuge from the rain for a bit since its sheltered. There are toilets here.

Great place for a rest stop and wander out to the bird observation hide via the steel decked walkway. Water is a long way from you as wonder what birds there might be nearby. Good picnic tables and shelter with interesting information. Toilet is fine, quite clean for a drop loo!

Well worth stopping for a driving break. Picnic area and toilets are well made and maintained. The pictures is taken through the lookout window. No water this time of the year, but a great wildlife observation point.

Beautiful bird sanctuary great place to stop and stretch your legs. Tables and chairs are provided so you can have a picnic among the bush whilst bird spotting. Long drop toilets are exceptionally clean. I would recommend that anyone stop here for a look

Nice place with a great walkway and a couple of tables in the shade. We made some sandwiches and had lunch. No flies at the time. No water in the lake either.

It has a great boardwalk and viewing infratsructure, i should imagine in winter when the lake has water in it the wildlife would be immense. I am glad I stopped and had a look
