Cygnet Caravan Park
Situated against the surprisingly busy main road, between one of the pubs and the local football club, the noise levels on a Saturday night are far from ideal. Coupled with the constant aroma eminating from the drains at each site, the odour of the septic system is just what you want whilst eating. One night is more than enough here.

If you can avoid it, do not stay here. The owner is running the place solely to exploit young fruit pickers, and has quite obviously bullied the council into prohibiting any free camping around town to further fill his pockets. Even a nearby backpacker hostel has had to stop accepting campers and motorhomes because of his influence. The location is terrible (wedged tightly between a road and a squalid creek) and $10 per person, per night is a bit rich. $1 for five minutes of hot shower just adds insult to injury.I was disappointed by the staff. A certain part of their policy (the pay up front" part of "seventh night is free if you pay up front") was never explained to me

A pleasant stay. Basic comforts (powered and non-powered sites, common kitchen, laundry, and bathroom facilities), affordable camping just on the edge of Cygnet. Lovely caretaker Robert very welcoming.Just make sure you have $1 coins to operate the showers.

This is a central spot for Cygnet so it makes it really good for backpackers. The grounds are well kept, green grass for tents and has great prices on offer. It is a fairly small park so it doesn't get massive crowds (a upside personally), but bookings are a good idea in peak season. I've stayed here a few times for seasonal work in the area. The owners are really welcoming. Surprisingly quiet spot for how central it is.

We paid $30 for a powered site. This park is cash only and you need coins for a hot shower. The amenities were fairly old and the hot water didn’t work in the male shower - it swallowed our money.

Basic camping, busy, we had to make our tents outside of the campground and paid the same that everyone. You also have to pay 1 dollar to take a hot shower of 4 minutes. The caretaker, an old man, make as felt like we were thief’s all the time, even saying that he will call the police if we don’t checkout at 10am.

The atmosphere in the camping was great, but mainly because of the campers, not the owners. There's just 2 showers and 2 toilets for men (probably same for women), and that becomes a problem when there's more than 150 people (which happens). Also, the kitchen is a hell at certain hours. There's no cutlery, and just a couple of cooking utensils. The kitchen gets closed for 2 hours in the morning for cleaning, and you cannot get to take/leave anything, not even for 10 seconds. 2 people who were actually helping in other aspects to maintain the camping were kicked out of it with the useful help of the police (protect and serve, looks like the owner is friends with the police chief) because of this reason.

Every thing is nice, good showers, kitchen.. and they fix problems on the spot. But just remember the dates that you pay so you will get the 30$ despoit back. Sometimes they are wrong and you need to explain why.
