I was hesitant going to this pottery place due to the distance from Rockhampton (took me an hour) but I am SUPER happy I went! They have an insane amount of product to choose from and they use a very special water carving technique to carve out the Byfield fern in some of their pieces. This fern only grows naturally in that area, so it's very special. They also have a traditional Japanese-style fire kiln that Steve, the owner and main artist, built himself in the 1990s. This kiln produces amazing, traditional style pottery using only the fire to glaze the pieces. Every piece is unique and there is no way to replicate it. This place is a must visit for all pottery lovers and for anybody looking for a special and unique gift for a friend or family member. Keep on mind, since all of their pieces are hand made that they are not cheap. However, it's definitely worth the time and the money. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

This place is something special to the Capricorn coast. The pottery is amazing....quite expensive, but once you understand what goes into every piece, you will very quickly understand and appreciate the hand crafted things they sell. We have bought various pieces over the years and they are better than anything you will buy elsewhere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the gallery, understanding how they water carve the pottery and seeing the labour of love that goes into each piece during the process and firing really gave us a deeper appreciation of the pieces on display. The property is spectacular and being able to explore the grounds was wonderful, what a slice of paradise! Went home with a lovely platter to display in our home and 2 happy kids who fell in love with Panda the dog. Well worth a stop.

We had such a wonderful experience, the owners are such warm and friendly people, explaining how and where everything is made and we watch a short 5 minute film on how all the Pottery is created and made. I would highly recommend a visit. We all brought home some beautiful gifts.

Very friendly place with lots of information about pottery and firing. Huge array of beautifull pottery plus glass and more.Fascinating gardens with some humour thrown in. This was an unplanned stop but very glad we did.
