This restaurant is hands down one of the best in Melbourne! The food is so reasonably priced, the serving sizes leave you stuffed and nothing compares to the wonderful people who run it. The African gnocchi is out of this world, as are all of their dishes. Do yourself a favor and eat here - your taste buds and tummy will thank you for it!

One of my fave restaurants, eaten here and ordered takeout numerous times, food is delicious, owners/family are so genuinely lovely. You gotta pop in if your over this side!!!

We had a wonderful experience tonight, we dined in. 2 Kids and one adult, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was beautiful and fresh, we will be back. Everything was perfect, thank you.

It took us a year of living in the area before we visited. Regret missing out that year. Cauliflower for entree and either lamb tibs, fufu or tasting plate for dinner. Injera is always fresh.We no longer live close by, but we still venture out to eat at African Taste whenever we can. We tried the lamb fufu for the first time and it was as good as the chicken one!

A little disappointingWe found the quality of the food inconsistent. It’s an unassuming little place and the atmosphere is welcoming. The entrees were really good, we had the samosas and the cauliflower, they were exceptional. The meat dish - it was lamb - not so much. The lamb was in small chunks but they were tough, and the sauce was watery and quite tasteless. Would still go back, but probably not have any of the meat dishes.

The injeri bread was magnificent. They deserved my 5.00 tip. Hate when other restaurant offered it on their eftpos machines. Tips are earnt not asked for.Highly recommend this place

Have now dined here on two separate occasions. Cauliflower is a great entree. Gnocchi with chicken is a must - you will be very satisfied in the taste and how full you are!Ethiopian beer and wine at extremely reasonable prices. Highly recommend the Ethiopian lager - $6.Wife and husband who run the restaurant are extremely friendly and happy to recommend a meal that will suit what you are after.Closed Tuesdays but ALWAYS worth the wait!
