We were really looking forward to eating this pie and was very disappointed! Should call it gristle and red wine pie. Pastry and gravy were lovely but not one piece of meat could we eat in a family size pie. Will not buy again!

Value is probably the best you’ll ever see. ($30 for 30 pies)Quality is one of if not the best pie I’ve ever seen.Flavor is sooo good. Flaky pastry with a rich filling that coats your mouth with goodness. So much better than lots of “local bakeries”.Give them a go and you won’t be disappointed.

Coming from NZ we have a strong pie culture. After spending a year in Sydney and gaining 5kgs while trying to find the ultimate pie, I think I've found it. Finally a pie that doesnt self destruct in your hand. A flakey pastry backed by great tasting filling that reminds me of home. The kids love them as much as I do although I believe a good old Kiwi classic is needed in the range, the STEAK n CHEESE. Keep up the good work Mick. Highly recommend you give these pies a go if you haven't already.

I do not understand these comments below. I have just bought one of these pies from David Jones and I have to say this is the best pie I have ever eaten in a long while! We will definitely be going back for more, a staple for every Friday night!

I tried the beef and wine pie three times with the hope that next time it would be better. The meat came full of fat. Very disappointing as I love pies. The pastry was good and the souce delicious but the meat not good at all. I had to take all the meat out of it to be able to eat the pie.

I ordered the factory seconds for $20. It comes in a large box with 2 trays of assorted pies and sausage rolls. The pastry and the quality of the meat are exceptional. Thanks to the team at Mick's Bakery.

Bland tasting pies, never again. Pale coloured mince with no flavour. Very disappointed again.And horrible moch cream.Staff did nothing when I complained about the strange moch cream.
