Love, love, loved this place. Super sweet service, fabulous seafood - giant oysters Kilpatrick- I loved the Sammy's special with calamari, whiting and prawns. It is at the upper price bracket for Adelaidens but I really loved it. A treat occasionally but super good value if you come from anywhere else in the world!!

The food was amazing! The drinks were special and so delcious im craving more! and the server ( Rafel? I'm really sorry I forgotten) Mr Tiger! Was the absolutelyThe best server in my and my mums whole life time! We will come back to be served by him again he made sure our request was perfect and everything went smoothly. He understood exactly what we wanted. So polite, caring and understanding never had such good service anywhere else. 100% well be back for the next birthday lunch.

The outdoor dining gave us a great view of the sunset and the changing colours. The seafood was fresh and tasty .We shared a platter between five to start and then the Barra special of the day. We were all impressed.The excellent service from Cindy added to our enjoyment.We left all talking about the memorable evening . Highly recommended.

Food was delicious however the portion of the lamb rack should be improved. For $45 I'd expect at least 3 cutlets but serving was 2. That said they were delicious and I'm told the Sammy's favourites seafood was good.It did take approx 30mins after ordering for the mains to arrive, given the starter was bread and butter we thought it was slightly longer than necessary but gave us the chance to enjoy the pretty sunset and watch the planes come in to land.Service was relatively prompt and we were checked on every so often.

February 2023 Update - very happy to say we enjoyed a fantastic meal with a large group of people and not only were most of the items gluten free/coeliac friendly, (with substitutes from set menu for me) but absolutely delicious.My husband enjoyed every bite.Highly recommend for Coeliacs and all.Thankyou Sammy's team it was a real pleasure.We were dissapointed after our visit on 22nd January 2022 so I wrote the review below. I am very pleased to say that Pervez the manager has contacted me with regards to my review, and has offered me a free coeliac friendly meal to compensate. He has also arranged for me to provide information regarding catering for coeliacs to his head chef. I have left my initial review here, but upgraded the star rating to a three because Pervez has responded with such concern and willingness to remedy. I will review again after our next visit so stay tuned. Thankyou....Waited 20 minutes to order wine on arrival, then had to ask twice for it to be delivered to our table. I am coeliac when I rang prior they assured me they could cater for me. Their menu is mainly deep fried seafood, but they do not have a separate facility for gluten free foods, so extremely limited selection available. First choice of crab for entree not available gluten free. Second choice of prawn cocktail had to be sent back as had deep fried garnish covering it. Replacement was 4 unshelled prawns with mashed avocado on top - extremely messy to dig prawns out from avocado and poor option to have to peel yourself at a supposedly 5 star restaurant. My main @ $45 was plain whiting and small bowl of salad. On a positive note my husband's meal of scallops then Sammy's Favourite were both pleasant. Overall poor service, staff knowledge of dietary requirements , and actual meal dissapointing. Lots of room for improvement.

Not bad, a bit overpriced really. I don't mind paying for quality but I won't be going back in a hurry at all. My meal was $55 and was just a bit expensive for deep fried fish. But you may think I'm too harsh...

Fresh oysters and best Nero Marinara I’ve had in years. I can say better than ItalyStaff were amazingly helpful and made sure my dinner was an unforgettable experience of my short stay in beautiful Glenelg.

I am giving Sammy's 4.5 stars. They were so close to a perfect 5. The staff were amazing. My wife was in wheel chair, and they were not only accommodating, but assisted with folding the feet steps out the way, and storing the chair for us. That attention to detail was carried through by the staff for the whole evening. We ordered oysters to start, which were so fresh and delicious, but this is where Sammy's lose their half star. The oysters were shucked a bit carelessly, as evidenced by the damaged shells, and we both had shell fragments in a few of our oysters.Moving on to mains, and we both had the Sammy's Choice". Wow! I ordered the battered whiting and my wife ordered hers crumbed. When they arrived

Fine dining right on the shore with superb food at very reasonable prices. The Nero Marinara was to die for and our whole party enjoyed their meals. The service was as good as the food and their was plenty of that as well.

If you have not visited Sammy's just yet, you are missing out on one of the best dinning experiences in Adelaide.Pervez and his team made my 45th birthday dinner an unforgettable pleasant experience.The staff were exceptionally friendly, and food was great. I had my event in the balcony room and my goodness, the view is breathtaking.Thank you so much for hosting me, my family and friends. It was a night to always remember.
