Murray River Hideaway Holiday Park
Friendly proprietors, good amenities, well stocked mini mart, excellent coffee. Pool and grounds well maintained. We visited on one of the hottest weeks and the swimming pool and cold drinks" were very popular. Only down side was the amount of dust the vehicles stirred up on entering and leaving. No ones fault

A super secluded park lovely grass sites powered, some with ensuite, and unpowered also, nice bush setting away from highway noise 10 min walk to the mighty Murray river with sandy beach like picnic spots, and with resident koalas, swimming pool, kids play ground great stocked shop with fuel available.

Caravan park needs to have signs up warning patrons of national park. They take no responsibility when you get a fine and tell you to send it back Return to sender only causes your fine to cost more! Patrons please be aware do not take your four legged friend out of the caravan park to the ”Murray river” you will get a fine and the park won’t help you in any way , shape or form.

Use to attend your park for 20 years first just using the amenities back then camping on the river then moving to the park & the improvements you've made were long in the waiting. The welcoming deck over the kiosk which enable parents to watch their kids in the pool whilst they buy icy poles or fish & chip's & the security of the boom gate must give current residents piece of mind that their property is secure as there was a lot of robberies at night & even during the day while people we're all down the river.Well doneRegards Kay Pringle

This caravan park is called a hideaway, and it certainly lives up to its name , it is in the most desolate and isolated area that l have ever seen, it's 18 kilometres from the nearest town (if that's what you can call it) it's nice and close to thethe Murray river , but the rough corrugated road leading to the park will knock the fillings out of your teeth, the park itself is quite good with nice grassed area's for powered sites that are well maintained, and l enjoyed driving into the barmah forest and giving my 4wd a good workout

Well off the Murray Valley Hwy the park is peaceful and close to the Murray River. Plenty of outdoor activities with lush green grass for kids to play on. Amenities are extra clean but as there is only one block be prepared for a walk unless you are self contained. The shaded power sites are close to the dirt road and unfortunately not every driver is considerate enough to slow down when passing so it can be a little dusty. Other power sites do not offer shade but are well away from the road. The permanent dweller units are quirky and well worth a walk around the park to see the eclectic holiday setups. The permanent holiday residents are very friendly and a delight to talk to. The staff are super welcoming and the onsite kiosk offers everything you could need at reasonable prices. A great place for a quiet relaxing getaway.

We just had our first visit to this park over the Easter Break.Cons - we booked 12months prior and were advised of the site we would be placed on . Then we were moved to another site, then again moved to the site with ensuite at an additional cost with no option but to pay the added amount.Ensuite sites were nice and clean. The shower floor however felt very flimsy and there is a timer on your light so make sure you know where it is when you walk in. My showers are usually short but preparing your child can take longer than the 10 minute timer.Pros - first park that we have been to that allows dogs all year round which was fantastic but believe the park should have signs just before you leave the park with your fur child. The Parks rangers were out Easter Saturday and booked every person with a dog even our group that have both dogs on lead. We were not aware of the rules and have been advised a $354 fine will be added to our already expensive break. The weather was amazing and we enjoyed walking around looking at all the on-site huts. We were self contained but on our walk found the amenities which were quite a walk from the powered sites, the park has added more toilets which is a bonus for those campers.Ladies in the general store were nice and pleasant to deal with.If your looking to get away and be completely isolated this is the place for you .

Just came back spending two nights at this excellent holiday house. Don't be decepted by the old exterior. Inside it is all renovated and modern. The owners have thought of everything. Allison was quick in responding to all the queries and was very helpful. There wrre some surprise treats waiting for us on arrival and everything was included. Instructions on how to use every equipment, free WiFi, information on what you can do around. There were plenty of games, bikes in the garage which allowed us to go on a nice bike ride along the Murray which is just a stroll down the road.Highly recommended for a family holiday.

Absolutely love this holiday hideaway destination. I come up with my partner and my son and it is just always a relaxed fun time always a bonus if you are in a boat but you can head down to the Murray ( which you can walk) and go for a swim, and play along the river, which is beautiful and clean. The park has a swimming pool and a baby pool. Two lots of playgrounds and a basketball and tennis court in one there are alpacas and chickens, you can feed your food scraps too so great for kids also. They have a bottle shop and a little supermarket so you can pick up a few little treats, good If you forget anything. On long weekends they do fish and chips, which makes it really easy and something different for the family. Well done !
