A great trail center albeit about small. The trails are well maintained and vary in difficulty. Lost a star because there is not toilet or drinking water facilities available that I could see.Highly recommended if your in the area and if combined with other trails it is worth traveling to.Hornsby has hit the nail on the head for bike tourism!

Tackled the trails for the first-time today and was not disappointed. There some hard work to get the most out of the trails; a heart-thumping experience. It is worth it for the jump track alone; which was in great condition after some recent maintenance. Stick to the one-way rule as you travel around and be wary of people stopped adjacent to the trails. I used my Merida Cyclocross - which was okay for most of the trail and switched to a friend's mountain bike for some technical work. Deep in the trail, near the quarry look for male and female Splendid Fairy-wren pairs - the male is a striking blue colour and the female is a dull brown.

Established by Hornsby Council in in 2013, OMV is not recommended for beginner riders but it has got something for everyone including a short GE run from the pool, and a small dirt jumps track. The thin, the fit and the fleet will enjoy riding the challenging 6km XC loops here- or those lucky enough to have an e-mtb. OMV is a lifeline for all our local kids and youth- particularly the dirt jumps track. Please don't sanitize or contract this already minute 'network' when the Hornsby Parklands Development happens- EXPAND IT !! There's hectares of empty National Parks & Reserves which are surrounded by acreage and suburbs yet it is treated like private property and reserved exclusively for walking- what about experiencing KGNP, BVNP & LCNP on bicycles, horses and via dog walking/trail dog cycling? Thousands of people ride bicycles designed for dirt, yet there are no sanctioned, connecting purpose-built trails networks for them to experience the natural environments of Sydney via the diverse ways there are to move through them. Be that as it may, Hornsby Council is to be commended on their community outreaches regarding outdoor recreational activities. Historically, it is the only council in Greater Sydney to create a mountain bicycling facility like this, followed ( only during the last 3 years) by N. Beaches Council, Central Coast Council, and Western Sydney Parklands

Awesome set of trails!Trails are technical, a great place to skill up. However all runs are quite short, it takes only a few minutes to do the laps.

By far the best all terrain MTB trail in Sydney that is easily accessible. Probably suitable for riders with some foundation MTB skills, not recommended for first timers.

Great track, well maintained. It could use an update on track markers though.

Hornsby Mountain Bike Trail
Good fun but not definitely beginner friendly though. Actually it has some Nice trails for both biking and walking but it’s easy to skid the bike especially when its wet. It might be better for dry weather conditions rather than wet condition. But if you’re a pro you can have lot of fun doing all stunts and stuff.. intermediates can also enjoy their rides but beginners can’t enjoy much.

Meh. Looks like a lot of effort has been put into trails, but somehow trail markings still a bit difficult for first visitors. Green trail is relatively steep climb and descent, but not much flow - kids hated it.Westleigh much preferred with a good mix of terrain and difficulty.
