We had dinner here the other night. I must say the service was very disappointing and the prices for what you get was ridiculous. We started with the Spanakopita Cigars (2 pieces) $14 - Well there wasn't 2. It was one cigar that was cut into 2.Next I ordered the Wagyu Souvlaki ($49) and my wife ordered the Wood Baked Snapper, Vine Leaves ($48).Usually, when you order a Souvlaki, you get the meat, salad, sone dips and pita bread. However, when mine arrives, it was 5-6 pieces of meat on a skewer and a thin line of salad. That's it. Nothing else. I asked for an order of Pita bread, which didn't even arrive. I expect more from a $50 dish.My wifes order was the same. A small baby snapper on some vine leaves. Nothing else. All for $48.When we arrived and sat down, we waited for approx 6 minutes before I had to call one of the servers to order my drinks. For the small little meal we received and some drinks, costs us $190.00 AUD. When we left we went across the road and got a few pizza slices to stop feeling hungry. If I spend nearly $200.00 on dinner for two, then I expect to get good service and also a decent meal, Not this.

We had a fabulous dining experience and what a great location for lunch. Every course we had was timely on arrival and wonderfully flavorsome. Staff were exceptionally helpful. We couldn’t speak more highly of this restaurant and will be going back again. So very happy to recommend to others.

My wife and I had dinner and we really enjoyed the experience. The kleftiko meat was delicious as were the roast potatoes and greek salad. My wife said the desert galaktobouriko was the best she has ever tasted and made by Kathy the host who by the way was delightful. The restaurant ambience was perfect and we thoroughly recommend Almyra if your ever visiting Lorne.Mark and Esther.

Is supposed to be late spring, nearly summer and yet this rain is driving us all insane. Thank goodness for this blessed moment of serenity at Almyra where the burgers were amazing, the calamari was both salty and peppery, the cider apple-y and the break in the weather divine. A day trip feels like an entire, relaxing holiday.

This is our favourite place to chill and eat and drink by the beach. Right in the heart of Lorne. Beach front. Awesome view. Great food. Super friendly people too. When in Lorne, be sure to check this place out. We've been here twice during our 6 day vacay in the area. It won't disappoint.

Delicious vegan options with pumpkin pizza & Garlic pizza with vegan cheese. Super fresh bases. Unfortunately the order took 1 hour & 45 mins to arrive which was the downside to the experience.Huge credit to the front of house staff who were extremely professional in managing this which appeared to be a challenge with most of the outdoor seating. Thanks for taking care of us :)

We didn’t plan to dine at Almyra but my oldest said: “Hey Mum, why don’t we try that restaurant by the beach?”. We walked in, greeted by the beautiful Kathy and we were glad that we followed our son’s suggestion. The food was beautiful; amazing ingredients cooked to perfection. The octopus was charred beautifully, the lamb melted in our mouths, and my kids ate so many pita bread dipped in the delicious taramosalata. The service was superb (thank you again Kathy, you are truly an amazing host!) and the view was breathtaking.Me, my husband and my 2 little boys enjoyed every meal served and we came home happy with full tummies. We are definitely looking forward to visiting Almyra again in our next Pub to Pier visit next year!

ALMYRALorne’s hidden gem - for those who aren’t local like us, it’s definitely worth walking a few metres away from the main strip for your breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We had initially only planned to have a romantic dinner, but after loving the venue and the food, we ended up eating here everyday for three days straight!Keep reading the whole review for our detailed experience but for the short and concise version, read the below:The venue is situated perfectly by the beach and is a convenient location to spend your whole day like we had done from lunch, swimming, drinking, and dinner. The food was amazing, but their service, attention to detail, and ability to accomodate and entertain our needs are why we would recommend this little gem, and the reason why we’ll continue to come back the next time we find ourselves in Lorne.DINNER:For our starters, our highlight dish was the Taramasalata QLD Mullet Roe with Pita Bread!!! You cannot go to Almyra and NOT order this amazing starter. We also had the Saganaki which had been toasted to perfection and the King Fish Sashimi. For mains, we had the Char-grilled Octopus and Wagyu Souvlaki and our plates were spotless by the time we started our dessertsThe desserts are traditional greek desserts which were clearly made with love. The Galaktoboureko, Baklava, and Ouzo Shortbread were suggested by the staff, and we loved it so much that we had to take the leftovers home to not waste it.The drinks were reasonably priced and came very quickly, but what was even better than the ocean-front view were the service from staff members Carly and Mikhail who really catered to us and addressed any and all concerns.LUNCH:Round 2 included calamari and a tomato salad, open chicken and lamb souvlaki and their hot chips. Mikhail and Carly were super accomodating once again, often checking in on us throughout our lunch.HAPPY HOUR + Dinner:We came back to the restaurant to abuse the happy hour from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, before jumping into the ocean conveniently located 20 metres away from where we were drinking. After our swim we came back for round 3 for their Shrimp and Chorizo Woodfire Pizza and drink recommendations from Carly!BREAKFAST:For a light but filling meal, my partner and I shared the Almyra breakfast, made with love and fuel for the day!

Came here for dinner, so didn't see any views but would think it had great views of the ocean during the day. Had the ocean trout (which was salmon) was nice, wasn't sure what it came with, but had a Indian spice (not spicy) taste to it. The sweet potato fries was nice

Delicious roasted pumpkin pizza. Great beers. Lovely staff, and absolutely pumping tunes. I was only coming in for a quick bite, and stayed until the end of the sunset DJ set.Brilliant place.
