Careel Cottages
We stayed at the back cottage. Visited Careel Cottages during the cold season and my friends and I were happy with the amenities provided. I would say that the owner has made good efforts for the house to feel like a home away from home: there were books, vinyl records, and a fully equipped kitchen which made it so convenient for us to cook. We also loved the fireplace and overall cleanliness of the hse. Would totally recommend this location to stay when in Katoomba!

Careel Cottages are clean and fresh and well-appointed. Steve and Sharon make bookings straightforward and simple with their prompt and clear communications. We love staying here, with the close proximity to Katoomba’s restaurants and entertainment venues. The efficient gas fire heats the place in a jiffy on your return, and the beds are comfortable and cosy. No complaints from us!

We had an amazing stay at Steve‘s place! Steve was a great host and communication was always on point. The house is really lovely and well equipped. Spare blankets and many opportunities to heat make the potentially cold nights in the Blue Mountains comfortable. We loved exploring Katoomba and the surroundings. Totally recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay at Careel Front Cottage. The perfect place to stay and nice and warm with the gas fire and electric blanket. Good location, not far from the Main Street and the old Catalina racetrack nearby was a great place to walk our dog.Katoomba is a favourite so hope to stay again one day.

This cottage is located in a quiet street opposite a beautiful park but only 5 minutes walk to town. You can enjoy the space with friends/family and your pups. The cottage is well thought out and has everything you need, with the added bonus of a beautiful gas fire and record player. Service provided by the owners is excellent.

Myself and husband had a wonderful stay at Careel Bay Cottages. The comfort level was outstanding. Instant heating with a cosy gas fire, radiators in both bedrooms and an electric blanket!.Our hosts Steve and Sharon were easy to communicate with and we can’t wait to come back later in July. Even chocolates in the fridge. Highly recommend, loved the location.

We had an amazing stay at careel cottages!!! Beautifully maintained and well appointed accommodation, every thing you could think of to make our stay so enjoyable, impeccably clean, beautiful linen , cosy heating ,all the comforts of home and more, Katoomba town centre is easily accessible. Our hosts Steve and Sharon were wonderful, easy and prompt communication and ever so welcoming , an absolute 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great value little get away.We can’t wait to return.

We were pleasantly surprised for the price and the location of the cottage. The cottage itself is cosy yet modern. The fireplace was a pleasant touch given the freezing temperatures, the rooms also came with electric blankets which saved us during the chilly nights. They provided us with the right amount of amenities so we didn't have to keep making trips back into town, they were also very prompt to respond to our queries. An optimum spot for a cheap and cosy getaway!

Nice cosy accommodation for families. Clear instructions from the host. The host was responsive to messages and was able to communicate through chat to amend our date of booking when we had a change of plan. Was able to walk from the accommodation to Katoomba Street where the restaurants are. It takes 30min to walk to Katoomba Falls which is a good workout in the morning. Highly recommended.

Love this little cottage. Close to everything, clean, cosy and comfortable. It keeps us warm and comfy during winter season. Our host Steve is very responsive and helpful. We look forward to coming back for another stay.
