Went for Karaoke night with friends. We had a great time, we'll be back.The staff were helpful, the bathrooms clean, and the food basic but good.

Disappointed last night Thursday 30th June 2022. I love to go and sing karaoke at this place. I played pokies and lost over $100 I asked for a hot chocolate. I was told no hot chocolates it’s not a cafe!! Unbelievable customer service. I told the guy even the worst looking pub offers hot chocolate and earl grey tea. He was rude!!! !!!! Never going back here!!!

The upgrade of this establishment from when it was the St George Tavern has been nothing short of outstanding. Bright, clean, airy and stayed true to its art deco origins. Staff are friendly and obliging. The bistro is good value with a great mix of dishes available.

Tonight 23/2/2023, out to enjoy karaoke and friends. A phone was found on the table behind me by one of my friends. We took the phone thinking it was a mate’s phone who had just left. A blond staff member just took the phone and ok put it behind the bar. Then my friends and I discussed that it might have been our mates phone who had left. So I went up to the bar and asked if I could take it back because we thought it was our mates phone. His mates that he lives with was at my table. I got a no. Then the female bar manager, approached my table I was at and said the phone wasn’t our mates and said I yelled at her. I had to yell because of the loud karaoke noise.So I then asked her if she was calling me a thief, she said yes and in front of witnesses, my friends. Then she said that’s my last drink( mind you 2 almost 3) and I had to leave. Sorry but this person does not have customer skills, and has a reputation for being a bully. So this is why don’t go there when this manager is on. I’ve been going to this joint for 30 years, off and on. I’ve never been treated like this by any past staff member/s throughout these years. I’m 68 don’t need to be spoken to like that by someone who hasn’t done “the hard yards” in life.

Website says that bistro is open 12-9 Mon-Sun. but when I got there today (Sunday) I was told bistro doesn't open on a Sunday. Need to update website. Can't comment on food service etc!
